A method includes receiving historical interaction data, which includes a plurality of historical interactions. Each historical interaction is associated with a plurality of data fields. The method includes assigning a plurality of weights to the plurality of data fields, generating a neural network using the plurality of weights and the plurality of data fields, identifying a first plurality of feature indicators indicative of a first class, the first class being different from a second class; receiving a second plurality of feature indicators derived from data relating to compromised accounts, updating, a probability distribution component using the first plurality of feature indicators and the second plurality of feature indicators, and receiving current data for an interaction. The method also includes applying the probability distribution component to the current data, and scoring the interaction using the probability distribution component.

System for designing and validating fine grained fraud detection rules

A method is disclosed. A server computer may receive, from a client computer, a first rule comprising one or more variables, the first rule configured to predict that an event is either a first classification or a second classification. The server computer applies the first rule to an initial data set of events to identify events that are associated with the first classification. The server computer evaluates performance of the first rule. The server computer provides data relating to the performance of the first rule to the client computer. The client computer automatically evaluates the performance of the first rule and generates a second rule in response to the data relating to the performance of the first rule. The server computer may then evaluate the second rule and provide performance data to the client computer. The server computer may use equi-height histograms to evaluate the performance of the rules.

Real-time feedback service for resource access rule configuration

Some embodiments of the present invention relate to systems and methods for estimating validation time that use an estimation of the amount of data fulfilling a rule or a set of rules. This estimation method may be more accurate because it considers how much data will match the rule versus how much data can be discarded. The disclosed systems and methods give visibility into how much time a rule set validation will take and how long the computer system will be unavailable due to the rule set being evaluated. This allows users to make better decisions about whether and when a rule set should be evaluated, and/or whether and how to modify implementation of the rule set.

In one embodiment, for example, a method is described for executing a function in a query requesting data from a markup language document stored in a database, the markup language document organized hierarchically into nodes, the method comprises steps of: receiving the query requesting data from the markup language document, the query including a function to be executed during execution of the query; determining nodes of the markup language document satisfying the query; deriving values of the nodes of the markup language document; and executing the function with the derived values and the nodes of the markup language document.

A system and methodology for processing of path based queries is described. In one embodiment, a method for processing a path based query requesting data from a markup language document comprises steps of: parsing the path based query requesting data to generate a query tree corresponding to the path based query; identifying all paths which may be utilized for obtaining data requested by the path based query from the markup language document; creating a transformed query tree to represent all identified paths; generating a query plan for obtaining data requested by the path based query based on the transformed query tree; and executing the query plan to obtain and return the data requested by the path based query.
