Disclosed herein as a printing method and system which includes providing a substrate and depositing an interlayer composition including a polymer selected from the group of epoxy resins, polyvinyl phenols and poly(melamine-co-formaldehyde) and an interlayer composition solvent on the substrate. The interlayer composition is cured to form cured interlayer. A conductive metal ink composition is deposited on the cured interlayer and the conductive metal ink composition is cured to form a solid metal trace on the cured interlayer.

In accordance with the invention, there are articles including hydrophobic composite coating and methods of forming a hydrophobic composite coating. The method of forming a hydrophobic composite coating can include providing a substrate, wherein the substrate can include at least one region. The method can also include providing a dispersion including a plurality of carbon nanotubes, a stabilizer, a hydrophobic polymer, and a solvent, wherein the plurality of carbon nanotubes can be selected from the group consisting of single wall carbon nanotubes and multiple wall carbon nanotubes, and wherein each of the plurality of carbon nanotubes has an aspect ratio of at least about 10. The method can further include applying the dispersion to the one region to form a coated substrate and heating the coated substrate to form a hydrophobic composite coating such that the hydrophobic composite coating has a water contact angle of at least about 120&#xb0;.

Superhydrophobic nano-fabrics and coatings

A composition including a stimulus-responsive polymer, a base polymer and a catalyst, wherein the surface free energy of the stimulus-responsive polymer is reversibly adjustable from a first surface free energy state to a second surface free energy state when heated to an activation temperature, and wherein the base polymer does not include a platinum catalyst is described. A method of preparing the composition and a method of adjusting a surface free energy of the composition is also described.
