The device for the microbiological analysis of a support adapted to contain microorganisms marked by a fluorophore agent, said agent being adapted to absorb light energy with an absorption spectrum () having a crest (') at a predetermined absorption wavelength (&#x3bb;) and to release that energy by emitting light with an emission spectrum () having a crest (&#x2032;) at a predetermined emission wavelength (&#x3bb;) distinct from said absorption wavelength (&#x3bb;), comprises illuminating means; the spectrum () of the excitation light coming from the illuminating means having a crest (&#x2032;) at a predetermined excitation wavelength (&#x3bb;) with a predetermined difference between the excitation (&#x3bb;) and absorption (&#x3bb;) wavelengths by virtue of which it is made easy to discriminate the light emitted by said fluorophore agent from that coming from the illuminating means.

Device for microbiological analysis

The device for the microbiological analysis of a support () adapted to contain microorganisms marked by a fluorophore agent comprises illuminating means adapted to illuminate said support () comprising two bases () on each of which is mounted at least one group of light sources (), with said sources () of that group being regularly spaced from each other to form an array for illuminating said support (), said bases () being fixed to a frame of said device, one on each side of an opening () formed in said frame, with said bases () being inclined towards each other in the direction of a predetermined location for reception of said support () in said device.

A method for transferring a filter membrane () bearing a retentate to a reagent pad (), in which the membrane is mounted in a support frame () having a shoulder () and a skirt () projecting from the shoulder, the pad being mounted on a cassette () of complementary form to said skirt, the skirt being adapted to slide sealingly on the cassette until it comes into abutment formed by the shoulder, the method comprising the steps of sealingly engaging the skirt of the membrane support frame on the cassette, establishing a pressure difference between the cassette and the membrane support frame such that the membrane adopts the shape of a dome pointing towards the pad, while maintaining the pressure difference, applying a force on the frame so as to make the skirt slide on the cassette until contact is established between the end of the dome and the pad, maintaining a force on the frame so as to move it downward until it comes into abutment formed by the shoulder while maintaining the pressure difference.

Membrane transfer method and tool

The preparation unit comprises a body () within which are fixed a first () and a second () membrane, said first membrane () having a first predetermined pore diameter and said second membrane () a second predetermined pore diameter smaller than said first predetermined pore diameter of said first membrane (), said body also comprising means () for retrieving said sample collected on said second membrane (). The method of preparing such a sample comprises the step of procuring such a preparation unit (), the step of passing a predetermined volume of said liquid through said first membrane and through said second membrane () in order to collect a sample on said second membrane (); and the step of retrieving said sample so collected on said second membrane ().

Method and unit for preparing a sample for the microbiological analysis of a liquid

A device () for separating a membrane () to analyze from a support (), the membrane being mounted in a frame (), itself mounted on a support, having a body () comprising a longitudinal recess () for translational reception of the assembly constituted by the frame mounted on the support, the recess having a first end () and a second end () and longitudinal sides (A,B,) facing each other between said two ends, the device having bearing means () for a first member of the frame/support group between the first and the second end of the recess, which are adapted to serve as a bearing for the first member of the frame/support group once the assembly is disposed in the recess, each of the sides having a ramp (A,B,) adapted to engage a gripping member () of the second member of the frame/support group when the assembly is translationally moved from the first to the second end, said ramps being adapted to separate the support from the frame during said translational movement by bearing on said gripping member of the second member of the frame/support group, the first member of the frame/support group then bearing on the bearing means, such that the frame and the support are separated once the translational movement has arrived at the second end.

A method comprising obtaining a preparation unit comprising a filter module and a collection for each liquid coming from the filter module, with the filter module comprising an inlet compartment as well as an evacuation compartment for the liquids, the filter and collection modules being rotatably mounted relative to each other; disposing the filter and collection modules in a first position; passing a liquid from the filter module to attain the collection module; disposing the filter and collection modules relative to each other in a second position, and passing another liquid from the filter module to attain the collection module.

Unit and method for preparing a sample for the microbiological analysis of a liquid

The unit comprises a filter membrane filter module and a collection module for liquid coming from the filter module, with the filter module comprising an inlet compartment as well as an evacuation compartment for the liquids, the filter and collection modules being rotatably mounted relative to each other. The method comprises the step of obtaining such a unit, of disposing the filter and collection modules in a first position, of passing a liquid from the filter module to attain the collection module, of disposing the filter and collection modules relative to each other in a second position, and the step of passing another liquid from the filter module to attain the collection module.
