Systems and methods for aiding, supplementing, and/or increasing the monitoring capabilities of responsible persons over a supervised being are disclosed herein. In some implementations, the system includes one or more controlling persons, one or more supervising persons, a supervised being, and a cloud server. Each of the controlling persons and the supervising persons can have a personal electronic device. The supervised being can have an associated electronic device, such as a wearable electronic device. The electronic devices allow the controlling persons and the supervising persons to actively communicate with the cloud server to upload data related to the supervised being that is accessibly stored in the cloud server. In turn, the associated electronic device can include one or more sensors to measure and communicate various information to the cloud server. The system allows the controlling persons to monitor the health of, development of, and/or current control over the supervised being.

Embodiments of an apparatus and system are described for a hybrid computing device. Two-stage clasp mechanisms, and related systems and methods, are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the clasp mechanism includes a first housing portion, a second housing portion configured to connect to the first housing portion, and a locking mechanism configured to secure the first and second housing portions together. The locking mechanism can include a first striker carried by the second housing portion, a second striker movably carried by the first housing portion, and a blocking component movably carried by the second housing portion. The second striker is moveable along a first direction between an engaged position and a disengaged position with the first striker. The blocking component is movable along a second direction at an angle with respect to the first direction between a first position that prevents the first striker from moving and a second position that allows the second striker to move.

Embodiments provide for systems and methods related to kiosks for personalizing a packaged article. The kiosks may also be used for storage, inventory management, retrieval, packaging, and/or personalization of packaged articles. The kiosks discussed herein differ from non-kiosk personalization systems, such as personalization systems installed on a factory or warehouse floor, in that the kiosks are self-contained personalization systems. In some embodiments, the kiosks are portable and can be moved between different sites or events. This portability allows the kiosks to personalize packaged articles for concerts, festivals, conventions, trade shows, and the like.

A direct-to-garment personalization system for personalizing an article has a direct-to-garment printer configured to print a graphic onto the article and a packaged article. The packaged article includes the article to be printed and a packaging. The packaging has an upper packaging portion having a top wall; a print-access window formed in the top wall sized and shaped to accommodate access for a direct-to-garment printer; and a plurality of sidewalls connected to the top wall. The packaging has a lower packaging portion having a bottom wall; a print-access window formed in the bottom wall sized and shaped to accommodate access for a direct-to-garment printer; and a plurality of sidewalls connect to the bottom wall. The packaging also has a stiffener configured to support the article in the lower packaging portion, wherein the article has a printable area lying flat against a front side of the stiffener and has a portion folded around the stiffener. The packaging further includes a retainer for securing the folded portion of the article on a back side of the stiffener, wherein the retainer and the stiffener keep the printable area taut during printing. The system also includes a storage area containing the packaged article, and a transfer system for retrieving the packaged article from the storage area and for moving the packaged article to the direct-to-garment printer.
