Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of synchronizing time. For example, an apparatus may include a GNSS receiver to output GNSS measurements, and an output-timing signal including a plurality of pulses based on a clock of the GNSS receiver; an IMU to output inertial measurements, the IMU including a magnetometer to output magnetometer measurements; an antenna to emit an electromagnetic signal based on the output-timing signal, the electromagnetic signal to be measured by the magnetometer; and a processor to process the GNSS measurements and the inertial measurements, to detect in the magnetometer measurements one or more detected pulses of the output-timing signal, to determine a time delay between a clock of the IMU and the clock of the GNSS receiver based the detected pulses, and to adjust a time-base of the inertial measurements to a time-base of the GNSS measurements based on the time delay.

Techniques related to providing high perceptual quality video from highly compressed and decompressed reconstructed video are discussed. Such techniques include applying a pretrained decompression upsampling portion of a generative adversarial network to the decompressed reconstructed video to upsample and improve the perceptual quality of the decompressed reconstructed video to generate output video.

An apparatus for determining a distance to an object is provided. The apparatus includes a first transceiver configured to transmit a first radio frequency signal. A station may include a processor arranged to generate a Location Configuration Information (LCI) request having subelements arranged to query a reporting AP for a LCI report that includes location information regarding APs proximate to the reporting AP and a transceiver, coupled to the processor, the transceiver being arranged to send to the reporting AP the generated LCI request for the LCI report that includes location information regarding APs proximate to the reporting AP.

The disclosure generally relates to a method and apparatus for using a location token to locate a mobile device in a mapped environment. In one embodiment, the disclosure relates to identifying an AP in the environment using an AP location token. By finding a map from a map vendor which has a substantially identical map token, the AP and the map may be matched together. Once the AP is matched to the map, its exact location will be known. The location of a mobile device may be determined in relation to the AP's location. The same process may be used to identify the location of several APs on a map and thereby identify the location of the mobile device relative to the APs.

Indoor positioning networks are faced with several challenges. The methods employed by many indoor positioning systems require highly accurate time synchronization. Where many responders must be synchronized together, the accuracy of the time-synchronization can be improved via a synchronization tree that identifies preferable paths to synchronize responders and eliminates ambiguity. Moreover, where absolute location information is available for less than all of the responders, accurate round trip time measurement can be used to obtain the relative locations of the responders to each other. Where the relative locations are known, any absolute location of a responder can be extrapolated to the remaining responders. Finally, with the use of appropriate algorithms, these round trip time measurements can be collected in reference to a device that is stationary or moving.

Example systems, methods, and devices for provisioning in a wireless network can be provided. In one embodiment, a method can include storing, by a wireless communication device, credentials of one or more trusted network entities in the wireless network, receiving, by the wireless communication device, a request for location information from one or more access points, and transmitting, by the wireless communication device, location information to the one or more access points. The request may include location configuration information request, time of flight request or a fine timing measurement request. The method may also include storing one or more aging parameters for one or more trusted network entities. The credentials include basic service set identification or service set identification. Certain methods, apparatus, and systems described herein can be applied to 802.11ax or any other wireless standard.

Systems, methods, and devices for provisioning wireless network initiated location or time of flight request

Embodiments of a system and method for establishing a physical location of a device are generally described herein. In some embodiments a device may include a wireless device configured to communicate with an access point through the use of a wireless protocol, and to perform a method for time-of-flight (ToF) positioning that includes a three-stage fine-timing measurement (FTM) procedure that includes: a first stage for negotiating comeback timing for a next FTM exchange, a second stage that includes performing a fine timing measurement exchange and optionally negotiating the comeback timing for the next fine timing measurement exchange, and a third stage that includes reporting and polling the timestamp of the previous fine timing measurement exchange and optionally performing an additional fine timing measurement stage. In some embodiments a module in a device may determine a range between the device and the access point or the one or more network devices.

Embodiments of a communication station and method for transmission power control for Time-of-Flight (ToF) measurements in a wireless network are generally described herein. A protocol for fine timing measurements (FTMs) optimizes location performance rather than Wi-Fi coverage area and bit error rate by limiting an allowed maximum power and hence, EVM. A user equipment (UE) comprises a transceiver configured to receive, from an initiating station, a fine timing measurement request (FTMR) message at a maximum transmit power and lowest modulation and coding scheme (MCS), measure a relative received signal strength (RSSI) for the received FTMR message, determine a maximum transmit power, where the maximum transmit power is proportional to the measured RSSI; and transmit, to the initiating station, a fine timing measurement 1 (FTM1) message at the determined maximum transmit power and received lowest MCS.

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of performing a Time of Flight (ToF) measurement. For example, a first wireless device may include a controller to perform a Time of Flight (ToF) measurement procedure with a second wireless device; and a radio to communicate with the second wireless device a ToF frame including a first time value of a Time Synchronization Function (TSF) of a sender of the frame to indicate a beginning time of a ToF measurement period, and a second time value of the TSF at transmission of the ToF frame.

For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause a mobile device to receive bias information of an Access-Point (AP); perform a one-sided round-trip-time (RTT) measurement with the AP; and estimate a range between the mobile device and the AP based on the one-sided RTT measurement and the bias information.

Generally discussed herein are systems and apparatuses for managing a plurality of location providers and/or assigning a location provider to provide a location estimate. Also discussed herein are methods of using the systems and apparatuses. According to an example a method may include receiving a location estimate request from one or more location clients, determining, using a power cost heuristic, a power cost of using each of a plurality of location providers in performing a location estimate in accord with the location estimate request, assigning the location estimate request to a location provider of the plurality of location providers associated with a lowest determined power cost, and/or providing the location estimate to the location client.

For example, an apparatus may include a radio to receive location information including locations of a plurality of detected access points; and a location estimator to select from the plurality of detected access points a plurality of selected access points, based on the location information, and to estimate a location of the mobile device based on communications from the plurality of selected access points.

For example, a location provider (LP) selector to operate in a mobile device may include a memory to store an Accuracy-Power Decision Matrix (APDM), the APDM to provide an allocation of a plurality of LPs according to a plurality of power consumption levels and a plurality of accuracy ranges; and a controller to receive from a location client of the mobile device a location request for a location fix of the mobile device, and to assign to the location request one or more LPs of the plurality of LPs, based on the APDM, an accuracy requirement of the location request, and a power consumption requirement of the location request.

Apparatus, system and method of selecting location providers

Examples are disclosed for a mobile device to determine its location by trilateration with docked mobile devices and, optionally, wireless access points. Locations are determined to within an accuracy of within three feet. The docked mobile devices are at fixed locations such as docked to a docking station. In some examples, a mobile device may perform ranging to the docked mobile devices and fixed wireless stations. Ranging may use a time-of-flight (ToF) process, and may compensate for multipath interference. Trilateration may consider relative accuracies of ranging components. Other examples are described and claimed.
