The present invention relates to an emulsion concentrate containing water-insoluble oil components (A), hydrophilic non-ionic emulsifiers (B), lipophilic co-emulsifiers (C), polyols (D) and water; which comprises less than 50% by weight of water-insoluble oil component (A), based on the total weight of the concentrate, and comprises components (A), (B) and (C) and (D) in a ratio by weight A:B:C:D=1:(0.25-0.6):(0.25-0.6):(0.45-0.65). The invention further relates to the use of these emulsion concentrates, and also to preparations and paper products, non-woven products or textile products for body care and personal cleansing, which comprise water-insoluble oil components (A), hydrophilic non-ionic emulsifiers (B), lipophilic co-emulsifiers (C), and polyols (D) in a ratio by weight A:B:C:D=1:(0.25-0.6):(0.25-0.6):(0.45-0.65).

Emulsion concentrate

Emulsion concentrates comprising at least one alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglycoside having 6 to 22 carbon atoms in the alk(en)yl radical, polyglycerol esters, at least one polyol, at least one glyceride having a melting point greater than or equal to 20&#xb0; C., at least one oil component liquid at 20&#xb0; C. and with a polarity of more than 30-40 mN/m and at least one oil component liquid at 20&#xb0; C. and with a polarity of 5-30 mN/m are described. Methods of making and using such emulsion concentrates are also described. Articles employing the emulsion concentrates are also described.

The invention concerns pearly luster concentrates in the form of an aqueous dispersion having between 10 and 40 wt % pearly luster-forming components and between 15 and 55 wt % emulsifiers. The concentrates contain as emulsifiers alkylpolyglycosides of general formula (I), RO&mdash;(Z),, in which R stands for a C,to C,alkyl group, Z stands for a mono or oligosaccharide, x is a number from 1.1 to 5, or their addition products with 1 to 10 molecules ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide. The concentrates are characterized by a Newtonian flow behaviour when they are free of emulsifiers with &mdash;COO,and &mdash;OSO,groups, such that these concentrates are considerably easier to handle.
