A device for transferring containers wherein the containers () are transferred on an arc-shaped path about a central axis (A) of the transfer device (), which device includes at least a support wheel () and a guide wheel () driven with the same rotational movement about the axis (A) of the device, and wherein the guide wheel () has a periphery, cells whereof the dimensions are adapted to the dimension of the containers () to be transferred. The guide wheel () includes a device for varying the dimension of the cells so as to adapt them to the dimensions of the containers () to be transferred.

A machine for treating objects having a series of stations () whereof each includes a system for gripping () a container () in a loading point of the path, wherein, between the loading and unloading points, the container () is displaced from an initial loading position to at least a treating position then to a final unloading position following the circular path.
