A process for making a reinforcing structure () for dental prostheses in continuous fiber composite materials is described, comprising the steps of: —a) obtaining a digital three-dimensional model () of the patient's palate by means of a three-dimensional scan; —b) defining an operative outline (') through an offset of at least one portion of said three-dimensional model (); —c) obtaining a path for at least one height hi of said three-dimensional model, said path being arranged inside said operative outline (′); —d) depositing a continuous filiform element according to said path ().

Process for making a reinforcing structure for dental prostheses in continuous fiber composite materials

Equipment and a method for the three-dimensional printing of continuous fiber composite materials are described, and the equipment comprises:—a supplying head () to supply at least one filiform element of continuous fiber () comprising at least one fiber;—a movement assembly for the relative movement between the supplying head () and the three-dimensional object () so as to exert traction of the continuous filiform element ();—a coupling unit to couple a quantity of material powder onto said filiform element (); said coupling unit () being configured to deposit a determined quantity of powder on the continuous filiform element so as to form a prepreg filiform element (');—an energy source () configured to induce a phase change to the prepreg filiform element (′) from the solid state to the liquid state; said energy source () being positioned downstream of said coupling unit ().

Equipment and method for the three-dimensional printing of continuous fiber composite materials

A method for the construction of three-dimensional fibre-reinforced structures from a pre-existing object, where said method comprises the following steps: —acquisition of the initial three-dimensional geometry of the pre-existing object and of the relative spatial coordinates of its position with respect to a numerically controlled machine () equipped with at least one printhead (); definition of the path to be followed by the above-mentioned printhead () in order to add the desired amount of material to the pre-existing object to obtain a desired final object; —deposit of the material on the pre-existing object by means of said printhead () by layering the composite material on the pre-existing object according to programmed trajectories, where such programmed trajectories are calculated according to the path that said printhead () must follow to add the desired amount of material to the pre-existing object; —extraction of the reinforced object after operations are concluded.

Method and apparatus for the construction of three-dimensional fibre-reinforced structures from a pre-existing object

An apparatus and method for three-dimensional printing of composite materials of continuous fibre, in which a feed head for feeding a compound material of continuous fibre is moved so as to print a three-dimensional object; a means for relative movement between the feed head and the three-dimensional object exerts a drawing force on the compound material of continuous fibre, so as to bring about the feeding of the material; this material is realized at a station arranged upstream of the feed head.
