A system for treating a region of the epidermis, including: at least one laser energy source; a time control device to generate a laser beam; a laser energy focusing system arranged and produced to direct a laser beam on the region of the epidermis. The control device generates a laser beam including a plurality of composite pulses, emitted at a base frequency, each composite pulse including a sequence of sub-pulses at a higher frequency than the base frequency.

Device and method for skin laser treatment

The system for treating a region of the epidermis, comprising: &#x2014;at least one laser energy source; &#x2014;a time control device to generate a laser beam; &#x2014;a laser energy focusing system arranged and produced to direct a laser beam on said region of the epidermis. The control device generates a laser beam comprising a plurality of composite pulses, emitted at a base frequency, each composite pulse comprising a sequence of sub-pulses at a higher frequency than said base frequency.

There is described a gas laser comprising a pair of substantially mutually parallel and opposed electrodes (), between which a volume is defined containing a gas in which said electrodes generate a discharge. At opposed ends of the electrodes, in said volume, mirrors () are arranged to define a resonant cavity. The electrodes form an integral part of two portions () of a sealed housing (), containing the gas and in which the mirrors and the electrodes are housed. The two portions () forming the housing are electrically connected.

Radio frequency excited gas laser source

A method of hair depilation using an Nd:YAG laser which causes local heating at the hair bulb due to the absorption of the oxyhemoglobin contained in the capillaries. The Nd:YAG laser operates at 1060 nanometers. Each pulse is a special pulse having a first portion and a second portion, where power output in the first portion is 20 times greater than power output in the second portion. That way, the first portion of each pulse is used to quickly heat up the tissue to a damaging temperature, and the second portion maintains that temperature to cause hair removal for the tissue.

Method of hair depilation

The device for deflecting a laser beam comprises a mirror (1) and means for orientating the mirror according to a predetermined equation for the controlled deflection of the laser beam (F). The mirror (1) is supported so that it can oscillate about two axes and the means for orientating the mirror comprise a plurality of electromagnets (11A, 11B, 15; 13A, 13B, 17) supplied with currents which are controlled and variable in time (I.sub.15, I.sub.17) to exert magnetic forces on said mirror (3).

Device and method for deflecting a laser beam by means of a single mirror

The articulated arm of a laser equipment comprises at least an articulation with a corresponding mirror in a fixed and non-adjustable position with respect to said articulation. At least one of the sections of the articulated arm converging into said articulation is engaged with the articulation in an angularly adjustable manner. In this way, with an angular adjustment of said arm section a perfect alignment of the laser beam in the tubular arm can be achieved.
