Sealed LED lighting fixtures operated under certain conditions (e.g., outdoors, in cold ambient environments, at high operating current, and/or in non-hermetic environments) will oftentimes exhibit condensation on an inner surface of the emitting face of the fixture. When occurring, said condensation impairs the ability to produce useful light—namely, light harnessed and directed in a manner so to provide lighting for a task (or otherwise desired)—by diffusing light emitted from the lighting fixture. Envisioned are apparatus, methods, and systems to reduce moisture in sealed LED lighting fixtures so to reduce or eliminate condensation, and in a manner that addresses both fixtures already in the field and those being assembled in a factory setting. In one form, a carrier embedded with desiccant is positionally mounted inside the fixture in a desired position which has no or minimal impact on light output from the fixture.

Apparatus, method, and system for reducing moisture in LED lighting fixtures

Disclosed herein are apparatus, methods, and systems for grounding outdoor light poles, as well as other structures, which may be exposed to lightning or other adverse electrical effects and may require a low impedance path to ground. Inventive aspects include a combination of apparatus integral to the pole or other structure and installation considerations whereby the ease of installation, reduction of onsite installation error, and reduction of impedance may be tailored to each installation. A window assembly having a window frame and at least one primary sash mounted in the window frame. The primary sash has a plurality of sash members forming a primary sash perimeter and a first glazing panel mounted in the primary sash perimeter. At least one secondary sash is pivotally attached directly to the primary sash perimeter along an interior surface thereof so that the secondary sash is rotatably movable between a closed position and an open position relative to the primary sash. The secondary sash has a plurality of secondary sash members forming a secondary sash structure and a second glazing panel mounted in the secondary sash perimeter. An air chamber is located between the primary sash and the secondary sash that is substantially closed to the interior of the building structure. At least one accessory channel is locating along at least one side of the secondary sash members.

An apparatus, method, and system for switch control of power to light sources, particularly high power consumption light sources that may experience lumen depreciation, such that the power level to a light source may be increased or decreased as desired. Methods of switching utilizing robust mechanical components such as solenoids, coupled with accurate and rapid electronic control components such as microprocessors, may be combined with a combinational approach to capacitance changes to comprise a flexible method of power control to a light source or plurality of light sources. Power to a light source may be adjusted such that the amount of energy consumed and the quantity of light output may be adjusted, compensation may be made for lumen depreciation and other losses that occur during operational life of the light source, to maintain constant or near-constant light output, or otherwise.

Apparatus, method, and system for improved switching methods for power adjustments in light sources

A self-sealing window with a flexible gasket that extends around the entire perimeter of closure assemblies and a method of installing such closure assemblies in a rough opening. A sealing member is attached continuously around an entire perimeter of the closure assembly to form a water impermeable seal between the sealing member and the closure assembly. The closure assembly is inserted into the rough opening. Accurate positioning of the closure assembly in the rough opening is verified. The closure assembly is secured in the rough opening. The sealing member is engaged with an exterior surface of the structure proximate the rough opening. A foam material is delivered into at least a portion of a space between perimeter edge surfaces of the closure assembly and inner surfaces of the rough opening.

Self-sealing window installation and method

A drainage system for a fenestration assembly is located in a rough opening of a structure. The drainage system includes a moisture barrier located between at least a bottom of the fenestration assembly and a bottom inner surface of the rough opening. The moisture barrier includes a vertical portion extending generally vertically downward below the rough opening on an external side of the structure. A channel assembly is located generally below the rough opening. The channel assembly includes at least one channel having a channel entrance proximate the bottom inner surface of the rough opening and a discharge opening direct toward a drainage area. The channel includes an effective cross-sectional area adapted to siphon water located on the moisture barrier to the drainage area.

A fenestration product having a covering, such as a blind or shade, mounted between panes of viewing material or glass. The fenestration product including a sliding operator coupled to the covering for adjustment of the extension and contraction of the covering across a viewing area of the fenestration product. The sliding operator configured adjust tilt of tiltable components of the covering, such as blind slats, in a single operation with the extension or contraction of the covering. The fenestration product may include a removable viewing panel, such as a double glazing panel, with the sliding operator built into or mounted on the panel. The fenestration product also including an actuation system coupled to the sliding operator for controlling adjustment of extension and contraction and/or tilt of the covering. An insect screen having a sliding operator engageable with the sliding operator of the panel may also be provided.
