This invention pertains to novel aromatic, sulfur-containing triamines of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each alkyl containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms and Y is ##STR2## The present compounds are useful crosslinking agents that significantly decrease the curing time of elastomeric urethane/urea copolymers.

Novel trifunctional aromatic amines

The curing time for articles prepared by reacting an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer with an aromatic diamine to form an elastomeric urethane/urea copolymer is significantly decreased using a tris(2,4,6-aminophenylthiomethyl)1,3,5-trihydrocarbyl substituted benzene as the crosslinking agent.

Compositions for preparing elastomeric urethane/urea block copolymers

The maximum concentration of specified sulfur-containing diamines that can be dissolved in polyols employed to prepare elastomeric urethane/urea block copolymers is significantly increased by the addition to said polyols of from 1 to 10% by weight of specified aprotic organic solvents containing oxygen, sulfur or both of these elements.

Composition for preparing urethane/urea block copolymers

Highly pigmented liquid epoxide coating compositions containing one or more liquid epoxides, up to 60% by weight of pigment, one or more carboxylic acid anhydrides and specified diazonium salts of Lewis acids are converted to solid materials with substantially no weight loss following a relatively short exposure to ultraviolet radiation. The heretofore unattainable objective of a light-curable, substantially solventless coating composition containing sufficient pigment to obtain acceptable levels of hiding power is achieved by the presence of the carboxylic acid anhydride.

Method for photopolymerization of pigmented epoxide compositions

Durable, solvent resistant coatings are obtained by applying an aqueous composition containing the reaction product of a polyfunctional epoxide with a secondary amine or a dialkanolamine to a metal substrate and heating the resultant coated article to a temperature of 200.degree.C to 300.degree.C. in the absence of a curing agent. The aqueous composition contains substantially no unreacted epoxide radicals.
