A single point to modify a behavior of intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) between active and testing modes is disclosed herein. The IED may include a variety of logical nodes, each with a behavior object related to the active or testing mode behavior of the IED. A single testing mode selection point of the IED is used to modify each of the logical nodes to change between active and testing modes. The testing mode selection point may be a logical input. The testing mode selection point may be a physical switch on the IED.

Configuration of testing modes in substation devices

Disclosed herein are a variety of systems and methods for entry of data relating to an electrical power delivery system using a web-based interface. One embodiment may include a computer program product having a client-side module to communicate with a server-side module. The client-side module may further include a web browser interface module to retrieve data entered by an operator into a data entry field in a web browser, a user interface module to display variable length data to a user via the web browser, and a communication module to manage communication with the server-side module. The communication module may further be configured to generate an object comprising data entered by the user into the web browser, transmit the object to the server, and receive a response from the server.

Entry of electric power delivery system data in a web-based interface

Pedestrian call systems with bidirectional communication between pedestrian call stations and traffic controllers are arranged so as to detect system errors. Communications can be provided over power conductors, and systems can be configured and monitored using a web browser. In one example, traffic systems are provided with Ethernet interfaces that can be used for bidirectional communication over power lines.

Advanced accessible pedestrian system for signalized traffic intersections

A mobile traffic controller to aid pedestrians includes a wireless transmitter and receiver that are configured to communicate with a traffic signal or a traffic control system. In response to a user request, the transmitter sends a traffic control request to a traffic signal or a traffic system controller. The request is acknowledged, and when appropriate, the mobile traffic controller receives a message indicating that a crossing is authorized. The mobile controller can include a vibro-tactile or audio output device for communication with the user. In addition, position and orientation systems can be included so that the user can be directed along a preferred path or alerted that a predetermined or legally established passage zone has been exited or is about to be exited.
