A method, medium, and system are provided for executing computing tasks based on force measurements corresponding to user interactions with a touch screen for a computing device. The touch screen displays content for applications executed by the computing device and receives user interactions. The computing device processes the user interactions to detect force measurements and to associate the force measurements with computing tasks for the applications executed on the computing device. A database stores the force measurements and corresponding computing tasks to identify matches between the stored force measurement for a user and subsequent force measurements received when the touch screen receives additional user interactions. When matching force measurements are located in the database, the corresponding computing tasks are executed by the computing device.

Executing computing tasks based on force levels

A communications device dynamic interface system is provided. The system comprises an at least one communications device and a dynamic interface application, that when executed on the at least one communications device, arranges a plurality of selectable, viewable panes in a virtual carousel format. The system also displays at least one of data and interactive content within the panes, the data and interactive content received from external sources. The system also changes the viewing sequence of the panes on demand and places less frequently viewed panes in a background area of the interface. The system also archives panes not viewed for a predetermined period of time and deletes panes not viewed for a predetermined period of time.

Dynamic interface for mobile devices

A method of enforcing security and confidentiality on a communications device using a dynamic interface application comprises a first external device receiving a first message from a second external device indicating that the security of the communications device has been compromised, and the first external device authenticating the first message and processing the instructions contained in the first message to safeguard content marked confidential. The method also comprises the first external device sending a second message to a device security component executing on the communications device, the second message containing instructions to render inaccessible tiles marked confidential by one of deleting and temporarily disabling access to marked tiles, and disable selected functionality of the dynamic interface application and underlying communications functionality of the communications device until receiving further instruction. The method also comprises the device security component carrying out the instructions contained in the second message.

A method, system, and medium are provided for managing cache allocation between a primary storage and a secondary storage. The system includes a device with a primary storage, secondary storage, and cache manager. The method includes downloading a web resource, storing the web resource in the primary storage, determining the amount of time required to download the web resource, and determining the amount of time required to retrieve the web resource from the secondary storage. If the amount of time required to retrieve the web resource from the secondary storage is less than the amount of time required to download the web resource, the method stores the web resource in the secondary storage. Additionally, web resources may be moved from the secondary storage to the primary storage based on their likelihood of being utilized.
