An arrangement for shifting a gearbox. The arrangement having first and second transmission components () and an axially movable shifting sleeve () such that the shifting sleeve () and the second transmission component () each have respective drive teeth () that can be brought into engagement with one another. The drive teeth are in the form of beveloid teeth ().

Arrangement for shifting a gearbox

A transmission with nine forward and one reverse gear comprises planetary gearsets, shafts and shift elements. A sun gear of a first gearset (P) is connectable to a housing via a first brake () and couples the sun gear of the second gearset (P). A carrier of the first gearset (P) couples the ring gear of the fourth gearset (P). A ring gear of first gearset (P) is connectable to the housing by a second brake (). The carrier of the second gearset (P) couples the input which is connectable by clutch () to the fifth shaft (). The fifth shaft () respectively couples the sun and ring gears of the fourth and third gearsets (P, P) and is connectable to a seventh shaft () by clutch (). The seventh shaft () respectively couples the sun and ring gears of the third and the second gearsets (P, P). Output shaft couples the carrier of the fourth gearset (P) and, via clutch (), the eight shaft () which is connected to the carrier of the third gearset (P), and clutch () couples the eight shaft () to the input.

Multi-stage transmission

A method of operating a transmission device () having a plurality of frictionally engaging shift elements (B, C, D and E) and at least one form-locking shift element (A, F) for implementing different transmission ratios. Upon a requested change in operating state of the transmission device (), the at least one form-locking shift element (A) is transferred into an at least nearly load-free state, during which the form-locking shift element (A) is transferred from an engaged to a disengaged operating state by increasing the transfer capability of at least one frictionally engaging shift element (E), which is not engaged in the power flow of the transmission device () either to represent the present operating state or to represent the requested operating state.

Method for operating a transmission device having a plurality of friction-fit shift elements and at least one form-fit shift element

The invention concerns an automatic transmission of planetary structure, comprising a drive input shaft (AN), a drive output shaft (AB), first, second, third and fourth planetary gear sets (RS, RS, RS, RS) and six shifting element (A, B, C, D, E, F). By the selective engagement of three of a total of six shifting elements (A to F), ten forward gears and up to two reverse gears can be engaged without range shifts.

10-gear automatic transmission

A rotationally fixed connection of first and second components () of a transmission () for torque transfer. The fixed connection is produced by the combination of two different types of connection elements (), such that the connection elements () of a first type ensures the mutual centering of the first and the second components () to be connected and torque transfer, while the connection elements () of a second type enable the first and the second components () to be axially fixed and transfer axial operating forces.

Rotationally fixed connection of two parts of a transmission for transmitting torque

The 8-speed transmission which comprises an input shaft (AN), an output shaft (AB), four planetary gearsets (RS, RS, RS, RS), eight rotary shafts (), and five shifting elements (A, B, C, D, E). The input shaft is directly connected to the fourth planetary gear set while the output shaft is directly connected to the third planetary gear. A third shaft directly connects one element of the first planetary gear set with one element of the fourth planetary gear set. A fifth shaft directly connects one element of the second planetary gear set with one element of the third planetary gear set. A sixth shaft directly connects one element of the first planetary gear set with one element of the third planetary gear set. A seventh shaft directly connects one element of the fourth planetary gear set with one element of the fifth shifting element.

Multi-speed transmission

A vehicle multi-speed automatic transmission which comprises an input shaft (AN) and an output shaft (AB); first, second, third and fourth planetary gear sets (RS, RS, RS, RS); at least third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth rotatable shafts (); and first, second, third, fourth and fifth shifting elements (A, B, C, D, E) whose selective engagement, in combinations of three engaged shifting elements, defines different gear ratios, between the input shaft (AN) and the output shaft (AB), for implementing eight forward gears and at least one reverse gear. When shifting from one forward gear into a successive higher or lower forward gear, only a single one of the first, the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth shift elements is disengaged and only a single one of the first, the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth shift elements is engaged.

A method is described for the operation of a transmission device () with a plurality of frictional shift elements (A, D, E, F) and at least one interlocking shift element (B, C) for obtaining various gear ratios. When a command is received for a gearshift during which the interlocking shift element (C) has to be changed from an open to a closed operating condition, the interlocking shift element (C) is at least approximately synchronized by increasing the transmission capacity of at least one frictional shift element (A) which does not have to be engaged in the force flow either to obtain the gear ratio that is to be disengaged or to obtain the gear ratio that is to be engaged.

Method for the operation of a transmission device

An automatic planetary transmission comprising a drive input shaft (AN), a drive output shaft (AB), first, second, third and fourth planetary gearsets (RS,RS,RSRS) and six shifting elements (A, B, C, D, E, F). By the selectively engagement, in each case, three of the six shifting elements (A, B, C, D, E, F), ten forward gears and up to two reverse gears can be engaged without any range shifts.

A transmission for a vehicle with a clutch and/or a brake which is hydraulically actuated by a cylinder and a piston actuator. A pressure chamber is located between the cylinder and the piston and a hydraulic pressure medium flows into the pressure chamber via an inlet. The pressure medium is supplied to the pressure chamber via a component fixed on the housing, a rotary passage between the fixed component and the rotatable component and then via the rotatable component. The radial distance of the radial middle of the rotary passage is larger than the smallest radial distance and smaller than the largest radial distance of the pressure chamber from the rotation axis of a central shaft of the automatic transmission. The radial arrangement of the rotary passage, between the radially smallest and largest diameters of the pressure chamber, neutralizes centrifugally generated forces on the pressure medium in the pressure chamber.

A transmission with forward and reverse gears comprising planetary gearsets, shafts and shift elements. The sun gear of gearset (P) couples shaft () that is connectable, via brake (), to housing (G). The carriers of gearsets (P, P) couple shaft () which is connectable, via clutch (), to drive input shaft (). Input shaft () is connectable, via clutches (), respectively to shafts (). Shaft () couples the ring gear of gearset (P). Shaft () is connectable, via brake (), to housing (G) and couples the sun gears of gearsets (PP). The ring gears of gearsets (PP) couple drive output shaft (). The carrier of gearset (P) couples shaft () which couples a component connecting the ring gear of gearset (P) and the sun gear of gearset (P). The carrier of gearset (P) couples shaft () which is connectable, via brake (), to housing (G).

Multi-stage gearbox

A multi-speed automatic transmission of a planetary design for a motor vehicle, the transmission comprises an input shaft and an output shaft; first, second, third and fourth planetary gear sets; and at least third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth rotatable shafts and first and second brakes and first, second and third clutches whose selective engagement defines different gear ratios between the input shaft and the output shaft such that at least eight forward gears and at least one reverse gear can be implemented. When shifting from one forward gear into one of a successive higher and a successive lower forward gear, only a single one of the first and second brakes and the first, second and third clutches is disengaged and only a single one of the first and second brakes and the first, second and third clutches is engaged.

A transmission which comprises an input shaft and an output shaft, first, second, third and fourth planetary gear sets, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth shafts, first, second, third, fourth and fifth gearshifting elements for achieving eight forward gears and one reverse gear. The first gearshifting element, when engaged, couples the third shaft with a housing of the transmission. The second gearshifting element, when engaged, couples the fourth shaft with the housing of the transmission. The third gearshifting element, when engaged, couples the input first shaft with the fifth shaft. The eighth shaft () is coupled with the fourth gearshifting element and the fifth gearshifting element (E), when engaged, couples the fifth shaft () and the seventh shaft ().
