A messaging system includes features of gathering information regarding content accessed across multiple applications and/or devices and making that information available to account holders of the messaging system. The messaging system stores data related to accessed content in a plurality of indices and makes that data available to enable account holders to access previously-accessed content, even if the previous access occurred in a different software application, on a different device, or on a device with a different operating system. Account holders may also be provided with recommendations based on gathered information.

Experience sharing system and method

A method, computer program product, and computing system for the sharing of experiences is provided. The method may include receiving a request for suggested experience data from the first user, said first user being associated with first user profile data stored in an experience data store and determining location data for the first user. The method may further include determining one or more interests for the first user based at least in part on the first user profile data. The method may also include determining at least one suggested experience based at least in part on the location data for the first user and the one or more determined interests for the first user. The method may further include providing the at least one suggested experience to the first user in response to the received request.

An electronic device comprising a touchscreen and a light element may be operable to illuminate the light element in response to an event. In response to an input from a user of the electronic device, the electronic device may display on the touchscreen an animation of a graphical representation of the light element moving onto the touchscreen to a target location on the touchscreen. The graphical representation of the light element may share one or more characteristics with the light element. The characteristic(s) may indicate a contact, application, and/or operating system associated with the event.

An electronic device comprising a touchscreen and an LED may be operable to illuminate the LED in response to an event occurring on the electronic device. During the animation, the graphical representation of the LED may be the only thing displayed on the touchscreen. The graphical representation of the LED may be the same color as the LED. Methods and apparatuses to set up a poll and presenting poll results through electronic communication media. In one embodiment, a user can specify a poll subject, a set of user-defined choices, and a set of poll invitees. The poll invitees are contacted to vote and/or to provide their comments. The invitees' responses are collected and presented. The user may set up the poll at a web site, using an email application, or a special-purpose application. A tool to compose the poll may be integrated with tools for managing personal contact information, such as address book, social network, etc. to simplify the process of specify poll invitees. Content sensitive advertisements can be inserted into the result of the poll. The advertisements can be selected based on the content of the poll subject, user defined choices, invitees' comments, etc.
