Aspects relate to techniques for enabling co-channel coexistence in different radio access technologies (RATs) for sidelink communication. A wireless communication device may be configured to receive at least one resource reservation message using a first RAT. For example, each resource reservation message may identify at least one resource of a plurality of resources of a sidelink channel for a respective sidelink transmission using the first RAT. The wireless communication device may further be configured to estimate a channel occupancy of the sidelink channel of a second RAT based on measurements obtained over a total number of the plurality of resources and the at least one resource reservation message.

Co-channel coexistence in different radio access technologies for sidelink communication

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for receiver side protection in sidelink communications. In certain aspects, a method performed by an apparatus generally includes obtaining, from a first user equipment (UE), first control information, which includes a first resource allocation information of one or more resources allocated for transmission by the first UE to the apparatus and an indication of a first cell associated with the first UE. The method generally includes obtaining, from a second UE, second control information, which generally includes a second resource allocation information of resources allocated for transmission by the second UE to the apparatus and an indication of a second cell associated with the second UE. The method generally includes determining, based on the first and second control information, potential interference from transmissions by the first UE and the second UE and taking one or more actions to mitigate the potential interference.

Receiver side protection with resource forwarding in sidelink

This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for retransmission and selection of HARQ and MCS based on partial sensing. A UE may perform a partial sensing procedure to identify one or more available resources for a sidelink transmission of the UE and transmit the sidelink transmission on a resource selected from the one or more available resources. The sidelink transmission may include at least one of a HARQ retransmission parameter or an MCS selected for the sidelink transmission based on at least one of a number of candidate slots for the partial sensing procedure, a quantity of the one or more available resources within the number of candidate slots, or a number of times that a threshold for a minimum amount of the one or more available resources is increased.

Retransmission and selection of HARQ and MCS based on partial sensing

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The techniques described herein may enable frequency domain interleaving for a transmission direction depending on a codeblock mapping configuration, a transport block size, or both. For example, a device (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or a base station) may use an existence of self-interference (e.g., existence of communications in a different transmission direction), a frequency domain allocation, a codeblock size, a number of codeblocks mapped per symbol, or a combination thereof for determining the interleaving. Additionally, the device may determine the frequency domain interleaving based on a transport block size configured for a transmission direction in a full-duplex slot. For example, a table with different ranges of transport block size along with interleaver depth or different interleaver patterns may be configured, and the device can determine the interleaver design based on the table.

Techniques for interleaving in full-duplex slots

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described herein. A user equipment (UE) may generate a set of feedback bits corresponding to sidelink messages received via one or more sidelink channels. The UE may transmit a first sidelink message via a first feedback resource of a physical sidelink feedback channel occasion. The first sidelink message may include a first subset of the feedback bits. The UE may transmit at least two additional sidelink feedback messages via respective feedback resources. The first additional sidelink feedback message may include the first subset of feedback bits and a second subset of feedback bits encoded using an erasure coding function.

Coded sidelink feedback for improved reliability

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may receive, from a network encoding device, an encoding capability message indicating one or more parameters associated with an erasure encoding and an erasure encoding type from a set of defined erasure encoding types. In some examples, the erasure encoding type is associated with an order between the erasure encoding and a low-density parity check (LDPC) encoding. The network encoding device may encode data in accordance with the one or more parameters and the erasure encoding type indicated in the encoding capability message and transmit a data message including the data encoded. As such, the wireless device may receive the data message and may decode the data of the data message in accordance with the one or more parameters and the erasure encoding type indicated in the encoding capability message.

Signaling for enabling erasure coding

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit compressed bitmap(s) to indicate preferred or non-preferred sidelink resources. A first UE may monitor a set of sidelink resources including a set of slots and subchannels for the slots and determine which resources are available for communications for a second UE. In some examples, the first UE may generate a bitmap indicating which slots have at least one subchannel that is unavailable, and, for each slot having at least one subchannel that is unavailable, a bitmap indicating which subchannels are unavailable for that slot. The first UE may transmit the bitmaps to the second UE. In some examples, the first UE may generate a bitmap indicating which slots have at least one subchannel that is available, and, for each slot having at least one subchannel that is available, a bitmap indicating which subchannels are available.

Signaling of a set of resources to support inter user equipment coordination

Aspects presented herein improve congestion control mechanism for UEs with multiple TRPs, where at least one of the SL RSSI measurement, the CBR measurement, the CR evaluation and/or the congestion control mechanism for the UE is optimized. In one aspect, the apparatus evaluates a CR for each TRP of a plurality of TRPs at the UE. The apparatus determines whether the UE is allowed to transmit on one or more of the TRPs of the plurality of TRPs based at least on the evaluated CR for each TRP of the plurality of TRPs and on at least one CR limit. The apparatus transmits on at least one TRP of the one or more of the TRPs based on the determination whether to transmit on the one or more TRPs.

Congestion control for sidelink communication with multi-TRP

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a set of frequency domain resources allocated to the UE for communicating data over a wireless channel. The UE may receive an indication of a waveform type associated with the set of frequency domain resources. The waveform type may be based at least in part on a data type of the data, may be used for a defined amount of time, and may be one of a plurality of waveform types that are multiplexed together over different frequency domain resources within a total system bandwidth. The UE may communicate within the set of frequency domain resources according to the indicated waveform type and the data type.

Mixed waveform communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may monitor a set of sidelink resources for a first portion of one or more sensing windows in accordance with a monitoring pattern. The monitoring pattern may indicate a first portion of the one or more sensing windows or a second portion of the one or more sensing windows. The first UE may transmit control signaling indicating a result of monitoring the set of sidelink resources for the first portion. The first UE may transmit data to at least a second UE based at least in part on transmitting the control signaling. In some examples, the second UE, a third UE, or both may indicate a result of monitoring a third portion or a fourth portion of the one or more sensing windows.

Cooperative and coordinated sensing techniques for wireless communications systems

The present disclosure provides self-decodable redundancy versions for a systematic code. An apparatus for wireless communications includes at least one processor coupled with a memory and comprising encoder circuitry configured to encode a set of information bits using a systematic code to generate an encoded bit stream with information bits and parity bits, and bit ordering circuitry configured to re-order bits in the encoded bit stream to distribute the information bits and the parity bits. The apparatus includes a transmitter configured to transmit the re-ordered bits in accordance with a radio technology via one or more antenna elements situated proximate the receiver.

Communication techniques with self-decodable redundancy versions (RVs) using systematic codes

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques generally provide for spatially coupled multiple-in multiple-out (MIMO) signaling for a single codeword across multiple layers. A transmitting device may transmit, via multiple time-frequency resources using multiple spatial layers, a set of code blocks associated with a codeword. At a first time-frequency resource, each code block of a first subset of the set of code blocks may be mapped to a respective transmission layer, and at a second time-frequency resource, each code block of a second subset of the set of code blocks may be mapped to a respective transmission layer, where the second set of code blocks is staggered from the first set of code blocks. By staggering code blocks across multiple time-frequency resources, a receiving wireless device may cancel out interference of one or more previously decoded code blocks.

Techniques for spatially coupled multiple-input multiple-output signaling

Wireless communications systems and methods related to wireless communications in a system are provided. A wireless communication device may compute a plurality of log-likelihood ratios (LLRs) based on a received communication signal. At least a first LLR and a second LLR of the plurality of LLRs represent the same first bit in the communication signal. The wireless communication device may combine the first LLR and the second LLR to decode the first bit and transmit a report indicating channel information. The channel information may be based at least in part on the plurality of LLRs before the combining of the first and second LLRs.

Channel information based on uncombined log likelihood ratios (LLRS)

Aspects presented herein relate to methods and devices for wireless communication of an apparatus, e.g., a UE. In one aspect, the apparatus may detect at least one conflict in a set of reserved resources between two or more sidelink (SL) resource reservations, each of the two or more SL resource reservations being associated with each of two or more UEs. The apparatus may also configure at least one of an indication of the at least one conflict or at least one resource reservation forwarding message. The apparatus may also transmit, after detecting the at least one conflict in the set of reserved resources, one or more of at least one resource reservation forwarding message or an indication of the at least one conflict.

Aspects relate to mechanisms for measuring the interference on the sidelink for use in calculating the channel quality indicator (CQI) in channel state information (CSI) reporting. Channel state information-interference measurement (CSI-IM) resources on which a sidelink device may measure the interference may be located outside of a bandwidth allocated for the transmission of a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) and/or inside of the allocated bandwidth. The sidelink device may measure respective interference values on one or more CSI-IM resources, identify one or more CQI(s) based on the measured interference value(s) and transmit one or more CSI reports including the one or more CQIs to another sidelink device.
