The invention relates to a method for starting up a gasifying reactor comprising a plurality of burners. Each burner is thereby charged with combustible dust from a metering vessel () via a dense flow conveyor line (), which is assigned thereto, and with fuel gas via a gas conveyor line (), wherein a fuel mixture of combustible dust and combustible gas is provided prior to a moment of ignition of a burner, wherein a first composition of combustible dust and combustible gas, with which a first burner is charged for ignition, is regulated as a function of the fuel quantity, which was supplied to the second burner for ignition, after the ignition of a second burner, which is charged with a second composition of combustible dust and combustible gas for ignition, following the ignition of the first burner, so that the starting up of each of the plurality of burners of the gasifying reactor takes place under a regulated supply of the fuel load. The invention further relates to a gasifying reactor () for carrying out the method according to the invention.

Method and device for starting up gasifying reactors operated with combustible dust

A method for stabilising or raising the pH of bodies of water and/or neutralising bodies of water is illustrated and described. According to the invention a feed material containing an unburnt lime product, the unburnt lime product having a granularity with a fraction &#x3c;about 10 &#x3bc;m of &#x2267;50%, is used to stabilise or raise the pH and/or neutralise bodies of water. With the aid of the proposed method the pH of bodies of water can be stabilised, raised and/or bodies of water can be neutralised effectively and in an ecologically harmless manner, and at low cost.

Method for simultaneous disposal of solid and liquid wastes including the steps of gasifying in a fixed bed pressure gasifier a gasification material containing coal and 1 to 70% of a solid waste material containing sulfur, hydrocarbons, PCBs, dioxins and/or heavy metals, to form a pollutant and dust-containing fixed bed pressure gasification crude gas; post-gasifying in a post-gasifier at a temperature greater than 1,000.degree. C. and cleaning it or process waste water to form a mixture of pollutant slurries; gasifying in an additional flow gasifier a mixture of the pollutant slurries, another liquid waste portion having a heat content of greater than 20,000 kJ/kg and containing hydrocarbons, sulfur, PCBs, heavy metals and/or dioxins and 3 to 35% of solid components containing greater than 10% mineral components and sulfur, heavy metals, PCBs, dioxins, furans and/or hydrocarbons, at a temperature more than 50.degree. C. above a melting point of the mineral components.

Method of simultaneous disposal of solid and liquid wastes

A method of simultaneous disposal of liquid and solid wastes comprises the steps of introducing liquid and solid wastes into a gasification reactor with a cooled reactor inner wall and liquid slag discharge and gasifying the liquid and solid wastes at a temperature which is at least 50.degree. C. higher than a melting temperature of mineral components of the solid wastes with a dwelling time of a produced gas in the gasification reactor more than 2 seconds.
