A method for compensating a movement of an antenna structure having a directive antenna mounted thereto is disclosed. The method comprises obtaining sensor data from a motion sensor, where the sensor data is indicative of the movement of the antenna structure relative to a reference orientation. Moreover, the motion sensor is associated with a set of calibration parameters such that when applied to the obtained sensor data, calibrated sensor data is formed. Further, the method comprises generating a compensation signal at an output for controlling a beam direction of the directive antenna based on the formed calibrated sensor data such that the beam direction is an intended direction of the directive antenna and such that the (unwanted) movement of the antenna structure is compensated. The method further comprises re-calibrating the motion sensor in order to generate a set of calibration coefficients upon either one of an expiry of a predefined time period, a counter reaching a counter threshold, or upon a measured antenna parameter or signal parameter diverging from a parameter range. Once, one of these conditions are fulfilled, the re-calibration is performed by obtaining a received signal strength indication (RSSI) while the beam direction is controlled based on the generated compensation signal, generating the set of calibration coefficients based on the obtained RSSI, and updating the set of calibration parameters for the motion sensor with the determined set of calibration coefficients.

Method and system for mast sway compensation

Systems and methods for linearizing a radio system are disclosed. In some embodiments, a radio system comprises an antenna array, transmit branches comprising respective power amplifiers, a predistortion subsystem comprising predistorters for the transmit branches respectively, a receive antenna element, a transmit observation receiver having an input coupled to the receive antenna element, and an adaptor. The predistorters predistort respective transmit signals to provide predistorted transmit signals to the respective transmit branches for transmission via respective active antenna elements in the antenna array. The transmit observation receiver is operable to receive, via the receive antenna element, a combined receive signal due to coupling between the receive antenna element and the active antenna elements. The adaptor is operable to generate a combined reference signal based on the transmit signals and configure predistortion parameters input to the predistorters based on the combined reference signal and the combined receive signal.

Active array antenna linearization

There is provided mechanisms performed by a control device for suppressing interference in a received reception signal in a radio transceiver device. The radio transceiver device is configured to receive the reception signal as a radio reception signal and to generate a radio transmission signal. The radio transmission signal and the radio reception signal occupy at least partly non-overlapping frequency bands. A method comprises obtaining a transmission reference signal based on the radio transmission signal. The method comprises estimating an interference distortion component signal based on the transmission reference signal and on a model of nonlinearity in a radio circuit of the radio transceiver device. The method comprises suppressing interference in the reception signal by combining the reception signal with the distortion component signal.

A method in a fixed point-to-point radio link transceiver, the method comprising the steps of receiving a first signal from a far end transceiver in a first frequency band, and detecting the presence of interference in the received first signal, as well as transmitting a second signal to the far end transceiver. The step of transmitting comprising including, in the second signal, a request to reduce transmission symbol rate in the far end transmitter when interference is detected in the received first signal.

Adjacent channel interference protection

This disclosure provides a microwave radio transmitter for radio transmission to a microwave radio receiver. The microwave radio transmitter comprises an antenna arrangement and a baseband processing module connected to the antenna arrangement. The antenna arrangement comprises an antenna having a polarization. The baseband processing module is configured to receive a polarization misalignment indication from the microwave radio receiver. The polarization misalignment indication is indicative of a misalignment between the polarization of the antenna and a corresponding polarization of a receive antenna comprised in the microwave radio receiver. The baseband processing module is configured to compensate for polarization misalignment between the antenna and the receive antenna by adjusting the radio transmission based on the polarization misalignment indication.

The present disclosure relates to a radio system comprising an antenna device, an antenna connector arrangement and a radio transceiver with a transmitter branch and a receiver branch. The antenna connector arrangement connects the antenna device to the transmitter branch and to the receiver branch, and comprises a first tuneable band-stop filter, a second tuneable band-stop filter and a three-way-junction. The first tuneable band-stop filter is connected to the transmitter branch and a transmitter input port of the three-way-junction to filter radio signals, and the second tuneable band-stop filter is connected to the receiver branch and a receiver output port of the three-way-junction to filter radio signals. The three-way-junction comprises a first antenna port that is connected to the antenna device. The present disclosure also relates to an antenna connector arrangement, an antenna arrangement, and an electrically tuneable waveguide band-stop filter arrangement.

The method comprising the steps of receiving a first signal from a far end transceiver, and detecting receiver overload due to excess power in the received first signal, and also transmitting a second signal to the far end transceiver. A homodyne receiver (), comprising a first mixer () with an RF input port () and an LO input port () for an LO signal and an output port () for the output signal of the first mixer which is also arranged to be the output port of the homodyne receiver. The homodyne receiver () also comprises a control unit () for controlling signal leakage from the LO input port () to the RF input port () of the first mixer (). The control unit () is arranged to control the leakage in amplitude and phase so that second-order distortion products and third order distortion products which are created when the RF and LO signals are mixed in the first mixer () exhibit similar amplitudes but a phase difference of 180 degrees.
