Described are a composition comprising furfuryl silicates and furfuryl alcohol, especially for use as acid-curable binder, and processes for producing such a composition.

Composition containing furfuryl silicates and furfuryl alcohol

A process (i) for producing a metal casting or (ii) for producing a cured shaped part for use in the casting of metallic castings is described. Furthermore, the use of an aliphatic polymer which comprises structural units containing hydroxy groups and has been crosslinked by etherification as binder of a shaped part for use in the casting of metallic castings is described. A shaped part for use in the casting of metallic castings, comprising at least one base mould material and a cured binder comprising or consisting of an aliphatic polymer which comprises structural units containing hydroxy groups and has been crosslinked by etherification, is likewise described. In addition, a cured shaped part which is producible by a process according to the invention and also a mould material mixture for use in the process of the invention are described.

Process for producing a metallic casting or a cured shaped part using aliphatic polymers comprising hydroxy groups

The present invention relates to a phenolic resin for use in the phenolic resin component of a two-component binder system for the polyurethane cold box process, to a two-component binder system for use in the polyurethane cold box process, to a molding material mixture for curing by contacting with a tertiary amine, to the use of a corresponding phenolic resin, of a corresponding phenol component, of a corresponding two-component binder system or of a corresponding molding material mixture. The present invention relates, moreover, to an article from the group consisting of feeders, foundry molds and foundry cores, producible from a corresponding molding material mixture, to a process for preparing a phenolic resin, and to a process for producing an article from the group consisting of feeders, foundry molds and foundry cores.

Phenol resin for use in the phenol resin component of a two-component binder system

The present invention relates primarily to a mixture that is suitable for use in the no-bake process for producing cores and molds for the foundry industry, and a reaction mixture comprising said mixture and an acid hardener (i.e. an acid catalyst). The present invention further relates to a method of producing a mixture according to the invention and a method of producing a mold or a core. The invention also relates to a mold or a core for producing metal objects and a kit comprising a mixture according to the invention and certain acid hardeners. The invention further relates to the use of a mixture according to the invention as cold-setting binder and the use of said mixtures or reaction mixtures in a no-bake process for producing metal objects.

Low-emission cold-setting binder for the foundry industry

A description is provided of a mixture which is preparable by allowing the reaction of a premixture of (av), methanesulfonic acid (bv), one or more esters of one or more phosphorous-oxygen acids and (cv) one or more silanes. The invention also concerns the use of said mixtures as additives for the polyisocyanate component of a two-component binding agent system for preparation of a polyurethane resin. The invention further concerns a solution containing polyisocyanate for use as a component of a molding material binding agent system, and the use of a solution containing polyisocyanate as the polyisocyanate component of a two-component binding agent system for preparation of a polyurethane resin and corresponding two-component binding agent systems for preparation of a polyurethane resin.
