A regulating valve with at least one gas outlet conduit and a housing having at least one outlet hole in fluid communication with the outlet conduit; a rotating disc arranged in the housing; a spring axially retaining the rotating disc in the housing; and sealing means surrounding the at least one outlet hole. The sealing means includes a gasket having a closure member associated with each outlet hole, surrounding the same, and at least one attachment arm attached to the at least one closure member. The attachment arm including at least one protuberance, with the rotating disc being supported on the closure members and on the protuberances when it presses on the gasket.

Regulating valve for a gas cooking appliance, and gas cooking appliance incorporating said regulating valve

A cooking appliance is disclosed that according to one embodiment includes a plurality of gas burners, an electrode associated with each burner for igniting the flame, a flame sensor associated with each burner for monitoring the flame and at least one electric switch associated with an actuator that is transitional between open and closed positions. The cooking appliance also includes a control unit electrically connected to the electrodes, the flame sensors, and the switch. When the switch assumes the closed position, the control unit is activated and then in turn powers the electrodes and the flame sensors. Thereafter, the control unit sequentially monitors the presence or absence of flame in the burners during repeated time cycles.

Gas cooking appliance

According to one embodiment a gas shut-off valve is provided with an intermediate port communicating a gas inlet an a gas outlet, a closing member moveable between a closed position and an open position, the intermediate port being blocked when the closing member is in the closed position. The shut-off valve includes a magnetic actuator having at least one permanent magnet and a movable element, attached to the closing member, with a ferromagnetic element adhered to the permanent magnet when the closing member is in an open position. A manual actuator of the shut-off valve is configured to move the closing member to the open position. A temperature sensing device is included that has a rod that expands and shrinks with temperature changes, with one end of the rod facing the movable element. The expansion of the rod at a closing temperature causing a pushing on the ferromagnetic element, moving the closing member from the open position to the closed position.

Gas shut-off valve for a gas cooking appliance and gas cooking appliance incorporating said gas shut-off valve

According to one embodiment a gas cooking appliance is provided that includes at least one burner and a manual regulating valve for each burner. The manual regulating valve includes a manual actuator movable in a range of actuation (A) to vary a gas flow rate (Q) therethrough. At least one electromagnetic valve fluidly communicates the manual regulating valve and the burner. A control unit controls the electromagnetic valve. At least one temperature sensor is electrically connected to the control unit to measure a temperature related to a cooking process. A cooking program selector is electrically connected to the control unit and mechanically coupled to the manual actuator, such that each cooking program is associated with a gas flow rate, the program selector including at least one cooking program with temperature regulation.

Electromagnetic gas valve with a gas inlet, a gas outlet, and a closure member that is displaceable between an opening position and a closing position. A maximum flow is supplied through the gas outlet with the closure member in the open position and a minimum flow being supplied with the closure member in the closed position. The valve includes a main fluid channel with a closure hole through which the maximum flow is supplied to the gas outlet. The closure member includes a secondary fluid channel calibrated for the minimum flow to pass therethrough, such that the closure member in the closed position covers the closure hole and allows the passage of gas through the secondary fluid channel.

Electromagnetic gas valve, gas regulating valve and gas cooking appliance

A gas cock that according to some embodiments includes an electromagnetic actuator having an electrically conductive static element and an electrically conductive moving element. The gas cock has a closure element that is attached to and moves with the moving element. The gas cock has an actuator shaft that in a first position does not contact the moving element, and in a second position pushes against the moving element to cause the moving element to make contact with the static element. The static element is electrically coupled to a signal line. When the actuator shaft is in the second position the closure element is positioned to permit gas flow through the gas cock and the actuator shaft is electrically coupled with the signal line.

Gas cock

A shut-off valve that has a closure orifice, a closure member to open and close a gas passage through the shut-off valve, an electromagnetic actuator including a movable assembly attached to the closure member, the closure member, and an electromagnetic filed generator magnetically associated with the movable assembly. The shut-off valve also includes a manual actuator for acting on the movable assembly, the manual actuator comprising an open position in which it is decoupled from the movable assembly, the electromagnetic actuator thus being able to act on the closure member to cause its closure.

Gas shut-off valve

A gas valve having a valve body that at least partially defines a gas enclosure. The valve body has an intake, an outlet and a hole for communicating the outlet with the intake. A valve seat within the gas enclosure cooperates with the hole to permit or to prevent the passage of gas through the hole. An electrically activated actuator, when activated, is configured to move or keep the valve seat in the open position. The gas valve includes connection means that connect the actuator to the outside of the gas valve, the connection means being disposed at least in part on a metal core printed circuit board. The printed circuit board is soldered to a metal structure located within the gas enclosure to at least partially seal the gas enclosure, the metal structure supporting, at least in part, the electrical actuator.

Gas valve and assembly method for a gas valve

A system or apparatus that in one implementation includes an electromagnetic valve having an actuator rod with a first coil and a second coil positioned at different longitudinal locations on the actuator rod and being situated electrically parallel to one another in an electrical circuit. The electromagnetic valve is constructed to induce a first voltage in the second coil when the electromagnetic valve is in the open position and to induce in the second coil a second voltage lower than the first voltage when the electromagnetic valve is in the closed position. A switch changeable between a first position and a second position is located in the electrical circuit. When the switch is in the first position the electrical circuit is configured to allow current from a power source to be delivered to the second coil. When the switch is in the second position the electrical circuit is configured to not allow current from a power source to be delivered to the second coil. A control device situated in series with the second coil in the electrical circuit is adapted to detect the open or closed position of the first electromagnetic valve based on the induced voltage of the second coil. The control device is adapted to act upon the switch to change it between the first and second positions. In one implementation, upon detecting that the electromagnetic valve is in the closed position, the control device is configured to act upon the switch to cause it to assume the first position.

Control systems for the ignition of a gas burner

A control system for the ignition of a gas burner that include an electromagnetic valve having a first coil and a second coil, the activation of the first and second coils controlling the flow of gas through the electromagnetic valve. An ignition element which is designed to be heated until it reaches the gas combustion temperature of the gas delivered to the burner is disposed electrically in series with the first coil, the ignition element and first coil forming a branch. The control system also includes an auxiliary electromagnetic valve with a coil, the activation of the coil controlling the flow of gas through the auxiliary electromagnetic valve. The flow of gas towards the burner is allowed when both the electromagnetic valve and the auxiliary electromagnetic valve are open.

Control system for the ignition of a gas burner

A gas valve having a gas enclosure with a gas inlet, a gas outlet and a passage opening situated between the gas inlet and the gas outlet. A valve seat of the valve cooperates with the passage opening to regulate the flow of gas through the valve. An electrical actuator assembly is operatively coupled with the valve seat to regulate the flow of gas through the valve. In one implementation the gas enclosure is at least in part sealed by an elastic sealing member that is pressed upon by a printed circuit board that electrically connects the actuator assembly to an exterior of the gas valve.

Gas valve

A method of assembling an electromagnetic gas valve having a first body, a second body, a unit comprising a valve disc and stem assembly coupled to a moveable insulating structure having a projecting member, an electromagnet assembly comprising a magnet fixed within the second body and a coil wound on a moving part with a cavity adapted to receive the projecting member, the first body having a gas inlet, a gas outlet and a through hole disposed between the gas inlet and outlet. In one implementation the insulating structure is coupled to the electromagnetic assembly by introducing a fluid under pressure into the gas outlet or gas inlet to act upon the unit to cause the projecting member to move in a direction towards the inside of the second body and into the cavity of the moving part of the electromagnet assembly.

Method for assembling an electromagnetic gas valve, and electromagnetic gas valve

The rotary gas tap () with an electromagnetic safety valve (), is of the conical regulation member () type, and the electromagnetic actuator (), being of a smaller power and size, is built entirely into a pipe housing () in the body of the tap. The valve actuator () is of the type where the seal member () is lifted by means of a DC voltage. The cylindrical magnetic frame () penetrating into the coil () is guided inside it, and a magnetic capsule () surrounding the coil is of a diameter Dh of around 14 mm, adjusted to that of the housing () in the body of the tap (). The stroke 'R' of the seal member () corresponds to a gap (G) greater than 2.5 mm, reaching a sizeable passage opening 'A' in the valve () necessary for a maximum inlet flow (Q) in the tap. At the same time the electromagnetic actuator () is of low power, by means of a low reluctance in the magnetic circuit (-), although the diameter &#x201c;Da&#x201d; of the cylindrical frame is restricted to less than 4 mm.

In the automatic operating mode, a controller operably controls an igniter and/or a pilot to automatically light the burner or burners without the need for a user to affirmatively act on the burners themselves.
