A traction control device for a motorcycle eliminates a need for a waiting time for detecting an amount of change in a vehicle state and a subsequent prediction time, and can execute quick traction control. The traction control device includes an engine driving force control unit, for calculating a real slip ratio of the motorcycle, setting a target slip ratio according to a driving state of the motorcycle, and controlling a driving force of an engine so that the real slip ratio becomes the target slip ratio. The traction control device also includes a throttle grip opening degree sensor for detecting an opening degree of a throttle grip; and a bank angle sensor for detecting a bank angle of the motorcycle. The engine driving force control unit calculates the target slip ratio on a basis of the throttle opening degree and the bank angle of the motorcycle.

Traction control device and method for a motorcycle

A clutch control device for obtaining a good shift shock reducing effect regardless of a change in clutch engagement point. A target NeV database stores a target NeV map as a target value of the ratio between an engine speed (Ne) and a vehicle speed (V) obtained from the engine speed after primary speed reduction by a gear transmission. The time period from the time of detection of a downshift operation to the time of completion of the reengagement of the clutch is composed of a first period until the clutch becomes a partially engaged condition after disengagement of the clutch, a second period during which the partially engaged condition is maintained, and a third period from the time when the clutch in the partially engaged condition starts to be driven in its engaging direction to the time when the reengagement of the clutch is completed.

Clutch control device

A clutch control assembly includes a clutch switches over a connected and disengaged state between an engine and a driven member. A first hydraulic pressure generating member is provided for generating hydraulic pressure for switching between a connected and disengaged state of the clutch according to an operation of a vehicle driver. A second hydraulic pressure generating member, independent from the first hydraulic pressure generating member, is provided for automatically generating hydraulic pressure for switching between a connected and disengaged state of the clutch according to drive conditions of the vehicle. A first piston with one side facing the first hydraulic pressure chamber linked to the first hydraulic pressure generating member and a second piston with one side facing the second hydraulic pressure chamber linked to the second hydraulic pressure generating member independent from the first hydraulic pressure generating member are interlock so as to be linked to the clutch.

Clutch control assembly for vehicle

A transmission control device for a vehicle for smoothly performing a transmission manipulation without a clutch manipulation. The device includes a control unit which determines a shift operation starting time based on a detection signal of a shift operation detector, and controls an intake air amount to an engine corresponding to a gear shift position detected by a gear shift position detection means thereby changing an output of the engine. The control unit obtains a target initial throttle opening corresponding to the gear shift position from a target initial throttle opening table, obtains data on throttle opening, time and an attenuation ratio corresponding to the gear shift position from a throttle opening, time and attenuation ratio table, and determines the opening time and the target throttle opening. Next, the control unit determines an injection amount and executes control to increase the intake air amount and the injection quantity.

Transmission control device of motorcycle

A fuel injection control apparatus is capable of supplying a proper amount of fuel by improving response when the throttle position is abruptly changed. The fuel injection control apparatus includes an electronic control unit for determining a fuel injection time period for a fuel injection system, based on the engine speed and the throttle position. The electronic control unit is operable to determine a base fuel injection time period based on engine speed and throttle position to start fuel injection, and adjusts the initial fuel injection time period thereafter, based on changes in the engine speed and the throttle position.
