A device for axially clamping a rotary tool element fitted on a spindle of a power driven tool or the like includes a first flange and a second flange. The first flange is mounted on the spindle and has an inner part rotatable with the spindle and an outer part rotatable relative to the inner part about a longitudinal axis of the spindle through a bearing. The outer part includes a first surface for abutting on one end of the rotary tool element. An engaging mechanism is disposed between the inner part and the outer part for limiting rotation of the outer part relative to the inner part within a predetermined angle. The second flange is threadably engaged with a threaded portion of the spindle and includes a second surface for abutting on the other end of the rotary tool element. The second flange is operable to be tightened for clamping the rotary tool element between the second flange and the outer part of the first flange.

An electric wax applicator comprises a housing, a pad defining a bottom portion of the housing, a sponge removably joined to a lower surface of the pad, an electric motor provided in the housing and having a drive shaft, a crank member connected to the drive shaft and including a balancer portion and an eccentric shaft portion which has a center deviated slightly from an axis of rotation of the drive shaft and is rotatably received in a bearing of the pad, and a pad support of resilient material located between an inner horizontal partition wall of the housing and the pad. The pad support may include first supporting members joined both to the pad and to the partition wall of the housing and second supporting members joined only to either of the pad and the partition wall of the housing. When the wax applicator is switched on, the crank member rotates together with the drive shaft. While the crank member is rotating, the eccentric shaft portion thereof vibrates to cause the pad to vibrate in the plane in which the pad is located.

A portable rotary tool includes a body having therein a drive device for rotation of a tool for working. The portable rotary tool further includes a handle which has an operation member mounted thereon for operation of the motor by an operator. A connecting device is provided for connecting the handle with the body and for permitting rotation of the handle relative to the body. The rotational position of the handle relative to the body may be fixed at any desired rotational position by a securing device.

A power driven tool for crimping a collar fitted on a shank of a rivet inlcudes an outer sleeve mounted on a body and having a portion for press fitting on an outer surface of the collar, and an inner sleeve disposed within the outer sleeve and reciprocally movable in an axial direction. The inner sleeve has a chuck for grasping the shank of the rivet. A drive shaft is threadably inserted within the inner sleeve and is driven by a motor in one direction or the other. A cam mechanism is disposed between the outer sleeve and the inner sleeve and includes a cam pin mounted on the outer sleeve, and a recess formed on the inner sleeve for engagement with the cam pin so as to prevent rotation of the inner sleeve relative to the outer sleeve. The recess includes a first relief portion and a second relief portion at both ends in an axial direction which permit rotation of the inner sleeve only in one direction and only in the other direction, respectively.
