A system and method that provides inter-application relevance management for resources being brokered by an application virtualization platform. A described platform includes a memory configured to store a set of relevance rules for applications hosted by the application virtualization platform, wherein each relevance rule specifies a relevance setting between a first application and a second application. Also included is a processor coupled to the memory and configured to broker resources for the application virtualization platform to avoid conflict between the applications.

In one aspect, an example methodology implementing the disclosed techniques can include, by a computing device, receiving a video stream from a first client device and, responsive to a determination that a second client device activated a downgrade feature and further responsive to a determination that a user of the first client device is not speaking, modifying the video stream to consume less resources. The method can also include, by the computing device, providing the modified video stream to the second client device.

Methods and systems for searching SaaS virtual applications are disclosed. One method includes receiving a set of search terms for a search of a virtual application, the search of the virtual application being executable without having the virtual application open on a computing device. The search request is provided to a source of the virtual application, the request including the set of search terms for the virtual application. At least one response is received from the source of the virtual application based on the set of search terms. A list of search results is provided to the computing device to enable selection of the virtual application from a plurality of other virtual applications accessible via the computing device, the list of search results including the received at least one response.

A system and method that provides inter-application relevance management for resources being brokered by an application virtualization platform. A described platform includes a memory configured to store a set of relevance rules for applications hosted by the application virtualization platform, wherein each relevance rule specifies a relevance setting between a first application and a second application. Also included is a processor coupled to the memory and configured to broker resources for the application virtualization platform, according to a method. The method includes: receiving a request from a client to launch a target application hosted by the application virtualization platform; retrieving a subset of applicable relevance rules that specify the target application from the set of relevance rules; and selecting a resource for the target application based on the subset of applicable relevance rules, wherein the resource includes at least one of a session or a session server.

Techniques are disclosed for rendering a watermark on content in a manner as to not obfuscate or otherwise cause visual defects to data elements in the content. An example methodology implementing the techniques includes segmenting a watermark to be rendered on the content into multiple watermark pieces. Then, prior to rendering a particular watermark piece, a check is made to determine whether there is a data element at the location in the content at which the particular watermark piece is to be rendered. If a data element is detected at that location, the particular watermark piece is rendered such that the data element overlays the particular watermark piece to render the watermark as a masked watermark. Otherwise, if no data element is detected at that location, the watermark piece is rendered on the content to be visible. The process is repeated to render the remaining watermark pieces.
