A positive electrode terminal is exposed on the upper surface and is electrically connected to the secondary battery. A gel member covering the first detection electrode is attachable/detachable to/from the lower surface. A signal processing device having a connecting part is attachable/detachable to/from the upper surface. When the signal processing device is attached to the upper surface, the first signal terminal and the positive electrode terminal are connected to the connecting part.

A processor module acquires physiological information of the subject based on biopotential that are detected by the first electrode and the second electrode, respectively. A patient monitoring system is provided. A sensor is attached to a subject. A processor acquires physiological information of the subject, and detects an occurrence of an event. A communication interface is wirelessly communicable with a remote device through a communication network. When the processor detects an occurrence of the event, a power supplying member supplies a first electric power that is necessary for transmission of physiological information to the remote device, to the communication interface. When an occurrence of the event is not detected, the power supplying member supplies a second electric power that is lower than the first electric power, to the communication interface.

A first detector is provided with a cuff adapted to be placed on an upper arm of a subject to detect noninvasive blood pressure of the subject. At least one second detector is adapted to be placed on a part of the subject to detect at least one vital sign of the subject. A single main body is detachably provided on the cuff while being connected with the first detector and the at least one second detector. A display is provided on the main body and operable to display the non-invasive blood pressure and the at least one vital sign as measurement data. A transmitter is provided in the main body and operable to transmit the measurement data to a receiver placed in a remote location.
