This work machine is provided with a machine body equipped with a battery storage part for accommodating a battery. The machine body has a grip part on one side in the left-right direction. The battery storage part has an opening formed in the machine body and a lid capable of opening and closing the opening. The opening and the lid are provided on the other side of the machine body in the left-right direction.

To enable the rotational speed of the cutter blade to be set variably and to allow the operation therefor to be performed with ease and accuracy, multiple switches () for setting the rotational speed of the cutter blade electric motor () to mutually different rotational speeds, and multiple operation buttons () provided for the respective switches () are included on a handle (), wherein the operation buttons () have operation parts (A,A) provided with mutually different sizes.

Electric power equipment

In one aspect, electric power equipment includes: a horizontally extending left rotary shaft operably connected with a cutter blade operation lever; a horizontally extending right rotary shaft operably connected with a travel operation lever; and a cutter blade on/off switch and a potentiometer for setting a travel speed arranged at a laterally central position substantially between the left and right rotary shafts, such that the cutter blade on/off switch is operated by the left rotary shaft and the potentiometer is operated by the right rotary shaft.
