A data output apparatus is provided. The data output apparatus includes a playback unit and an audio processing unit. The playback unit may carry out playback of data at 2&#xd7; speed from a tape-shaped recording medium, on which has been recorded video data with a field frequency of 59.94 Hz and audio data with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz, by playing back video data in odd-numbered fields and audio data corresponding thereto and video data in even-numbered fields and audio data corresponding thereto in parallel. The audio processing unit may write the audio data corresponding to the odd-numbered fields and the audio data corresponding to the even-numbered fields played back in parallel in the playback unit into a memory, read out the audio data from the memory at 96 kHz in order of the corresponding fields, and output the audio data to dual-link HD-SDI transmitters.

Data output apparatus and data output method

A data output apparatus is provided. The data output apparatus includes a playback unit and an audio processing unit. The playback unit carries out playback of data at 2&#xd7; speed from a tape-shaped recording medium, on which has been recorded video data with a field frequency of 59.94 Hz and audio data with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz, by playing back video data in odd-numbered fields and audio data corresponding thereto and video data in even-numbered fields and audio data corresponding thereto in parallel. The audio processing unit writes the audio data corresponding to the odd-numbered fields and the audio data corresponding to the even-numbered fields played back in parallel in the playback unit into a memory, reads out the audio data from the memory at 96 kHz in order of the corresponding fields, and outputs the audio data to dual-link HD-SDI transmitters.

Based on a digital recorder/player taken as a basic apparatus and which accommodates a field frequency of 60 fields/sec or a frame frequency of 30 frames/sec, an apparatus is implemented to record or reproduce source video and audio signal originated from the basic apparatus and whose frequency is different from the field or frame frequency. The apparatus includes an input unit, a processor, and a converter provided between the input unit and the processor. The input unit accepts audio data having a specific field frequency and arranged in a specific format, and make baseband processing of the audio data. The processor is designed to process audio data having a basic field frequency (60 fields/sec) and arranged in a basic format. It operates with a clock corresponding to the sampling frequency to make error-corrective encoding of the audio data adapted to the basic format.

Digital recording/reproducing apparatus

A data transmission apparatus including a plurality of buffers for sequentially receiving individual data to be stored in a plurality of memories at every predetermine period and storing supplied data for a predetermined period, a plurality of latch circuits for receiving storage address data of data shifted at every predetermined period and holding supplied storage address data for a predetermined holding period from a time point at which storage address data are supplied, a write timing generator for write-activating a plurality of memories at its memory in which data held in each buffer is to be stored, and a read timing generator for read-activating a memory corresponding to a latch circuit to which storage address data is supplied after a predetermined delay time since storage address data was supplied.
