A print information processing system includes a print data recording apparatus and a print data reproducing apparatus. In the print data recording apparatus, a human-readable image generation unit generates a human-readable image representing first data, and a two-dimensional code image generation unit generates a two-dimensional code image representing second data. A print data generation unit combines the human-readable image and the two-dimensional code image to generate print data, and a printing unit prints the print data on a print medium. In the print data reproducing apparatus, a reading unit reads the two-dimensional code image included in the print data printed on the print medium, and a print data decoding unit decodes the two-dimensional code image read by the reading unit, to reproduce the second data.

Apparatus for recording two-dimensional code and human-readable data on print medium

An information processing system which processes machine-readable code information which is printed, together with human-readable information, on a print medium. The apparatus includes a reading unit which reads the machine-readable code information, a decoding unit which decodes the machine-readable code information read by the reading unit, to generate decoded information, an information storing unit which stores at least a portion of the decoded information as stored information, and a processing unit which determines a processing operation to be performed, based on the decoded information and the stored information, and performs the determined processing operation.

Apparatus for processing machine-readable code printed on print medium together with human-readable information

The present invention comprises an image reading unit for reading an image recorded on a medium, a gradation histogram generation unit for generating the gradation histogram distribution of the image data read by the image reading unit, a threshold value generation unit for calculating an appearance frequency ratio between the lowest gradation value and the highest gradation value from the image data read by the image reading unit, determining a threshold value level based on the calculated appearance frequency ratio and further determining the threshold value level based on the gradation histogram distribution generated by the gradation histogram generation unit, and a binarization unit for binarizing the read image data based on the determined threshold value level. Therefore, a threshold value can be generated based on the features of an image to be read, an optimal threshold value can be obtained depending on a medium and, as a result, a correct binarization process is available.

Image reading method, image reading device and image processing device

A recurrence reflection sheet is provided to the outside of at least three sides of a quadrilateral display screen, two light send/receive units, which includes a light scanning element for scanning a light angularly in a plane which is substantially parallel with the display screen, and a light receiving element for receiving a reflected light from the recurrence reflection sheet, are arranged on the outside of the display screen. A cut-off region due to a finger as an indicator is obtained based on an angle of a scanning light in a timing of rise and fall of the received light level of the light receiving element, and a position of the indicator is calculated according to the obtained cut-off region.

An optical device comprising an image formation unit consisting of a plurality of lens substrates each formed on the front and rear faces thereof with lens arrays and a display unit disposed on an object surface with respect to the image formation unit and displaying an image to be projected by the image formation unit, characterized in that the lens array is a cylindrical lens array and the generating line of a cylindrical array formed on the front face and the generating line of a cylindrical array formed on the rear face cross each other. The lens substrate formed on the front and rear faces thereof with cylindrical lens array is used to provide a small lightweight optical device of a full-size or magnified image system.

Moreover, subtle blur, etc. obtained in such a manner that an image is drawn by a writing brush dripped in the ink can be expressed.

An image reader apparatus includes an illuminating element to illuminate a document face to be read, an optical element to form an image of the document face illuminated by the illuminating element, an image sensor to photoelectrically convert the image formed by light passing through the optical element, and a running roller rotating in contact with the document face, wherein a horizontal distance between a document contact portion of the running roller where the running roller contacts the document and a center of imaging of the optical element is shorter than or equal to 10 mm.

An optical device including an optical imaging system for forming a real image of an object on a light-receiving surface, the optical imaging system including first and second cylindrical lenses and first and second intermediate lenses, each of the intermediate lenses being composed of a plurality of lens elements arrayed in a line, the first and second cylindrical lenses being opposed to each other so that generatrices thereof are parallel to each other, the first and second intermediate lenses being arranged between the first and second cylindrical lenses in a direction of the generatrices so that a light beam emanated from the object is condensed onto the light-receiving surface through the first cylindrical lens, the first intermediate lens, the second intermediate lens and the second cylindrical lens, wherein each of the lens elements is formed of a one-dimensional binary lens having a light-condensing property only in the direction of the generatrices, whereby a real image by the first and second cylindrical lenses and an erect image by the first and second intermediate lenses are formed perpendicular to each other on the light-receiving surface.

An optical apparatus having a first lens array consisted of a plurality of lens forming reduced image in reversed orientation, a second lens array consisted of a plurality of lens arranged at corresponding positions to the lens of the first lens array and forming erected equal magnification image from the reduced image by expanding the reduced image in the given magnification, and one or more light shielding film arranged between the first lens array and the second lens array and having through openings for passing light discharged from respective lens of the first lens array at positions corresponding to respective lens of the first lens array in opposition to respective lens for passing discharged light from respective lens of the first lens array.

A timing pulse generator for producing timing pulses the period of which is variable.
