The memory stores a plurality of medical images including temporally sequential images of a common portion of a same patient taken at different points of time. The image reader reads out the plurality of medical images from the memory. The image processor processes at least two of the plurality of medical images read out from the memory according to registration information of the at least two of the plurality of medical images so as to obtain a processed image. The image adder adds one of the plurality of medical images read out from the memory to the processed image so as to obtain an addition image. And the display displays the addition image.
