In a pop-up type cassette mounting and ejection mechanism having a lid member which closes a cassette inserting/taking-out opening of a housing when a cassette holder is located at a cassette mount position, and also is movable away from the housing interlockingly with the movement of the cassette holder to a cassette eject position to open the cassette inserting/taking-out opening, the lid member is mounted on the cassette holder so as to be slidable in a direction parallel to the insertion direction of the cassette into the cassette holder, and one of the two side edges of a reinforcing member of a plate member is rotatably mounted on the lid member while the other side edge is rotatably mounted on the housing, thereby linking the housing and the lid member through the reinforcing member. Further, at the cassette inserting/taking-out opening side of the cassette holder, the recess is formed in the housing and the projection for closing the recess is formed in the lid member. Therefore, the insertion of the fingers into the cassette holder from the cassette inserting/taking-out opening can be further facilitated in combination with the displacement of the lid member from the cassette inserting/taking-out opening in the cassette insertion direction when the cassette holder is pushed out to the cassette eject position out of the housing. Accordingly, the inserting/taking-out operation of the cassette into/from the cassette holder can be further facilitated.

Cassette mounting and ejection mechanism

In a pop-up type cassette mounting and ejection mechanism having a lid member which closes a cassette inserting/taking-out opening of a housing when a cassette holder is located at a cassette mount position, and also is movable away from the housing interlockingly with the movement of the cassette holder to a cassette eject position to open the cassette inserting/taking-out opening, the lid member is mounted on the cassette holder so as to be slidable in a direction parallel to the insertion direction of the cassette into the cassette holder, and one of the two side edges of a reinforcing member of a plate member is rotatably mounted on the lid member while the other side edge is rotatably mounted on the housing, thereby linking the housing and the lid member through the reinforcing member. Further, at the cassette inserting/taking-out opening side of the cassette holder, the recess is formed in the housing and the projection for closing the recess is formed in the lid member. Therefore, the insertion of the fingers into the cassette holder from the cassette inserting/taking-out opening can be further facilitated in combination with the displacement of the lid member from the cassette inserting/taking-out opening in the cassette insertion direction when the cassette holder is pushed out to the cassette eject position out of the housing.

In an apparatus for producing duplicate tapes by transmitting signals reproduced by a master VTR to a plurality of duplicating VTRs for simultaneous recording on respective tapes in the latter; control signals from a bidirectional remote control unit are modulated with a first modulating frequency and are transmitted over a bidirectional control signal line to the duplicating VTRs. If a response is required from one of the duplicating VTRs, response signals from such duplicating VTR are modulated with a second modulating frequency different from the first modulating frequency and, during a pause in signal transmission from the remote control unit, the modulated response signals are transmitted to the remote control unit over the bidirectional control signal line. A test signal is transmitted to the duplicating VTRs in place of the signal reproduced by the master VTR, and defects in the recording operation of the duplicating VTRs are detected from playback of the test signal recorded by the respective duplicating VTRs.

Tape duplicating apparatus

In a magnetic recording and/or reproducing apparatus having a rotary head drum and a mounting for a tape cassette apart from the drum; a tape loading device is provided with a support ring which is rotatable around the drum and inclined in respect to the plane containing the longitudinal median of the tape in the mounted cassette, a plurality of rotary tape guides spaced apart along the support ring and extending perpendicularly to the latter for withdrawing tape from the cassette and wrapping a portion thereof about the drum in response to turning of the support ring, and a draw-out guide which is movable toward and away from one side of the support ring in synchronism with the turning of the latter, the draw-out guide, when moved away from the support ring, being inclined relative to the plane containing the longitudinal median of the tape in the cassette such that a return run of the tape extending from the draw-out guide back to the cassette leads smoothly to the latter.

Tape loading device for magnetic recording and/or reproducing apparatus

Magnetic tape recording and/or reproducing apparatus includes a device for providing a predetermined increase in the length of a loop of tape which extends between the point of contact between a capstan and a pinch roller and the opposite side of the pinch roller. The tape amount increasing device broadly comprises a linkage having first and second positions and to which first and second rollers are mounted at opposite ends thereof. The linkage is further pivoted at one end whereby a loop of tape passes around the first roller mounted at the pivoted end of the linkage in the first position of the linkage, and around the second roller when the linkage is in its second position.
