A method for manufacturing a speaker apparatus that includes fixing a magnetic circuit to a frame so that the magnetic circuit is positioned around a central hole of the frame; positioning a coil with respect to a center pole of the magnetic circuit; connecting a damper to the coil and the frame; positioning a jig in the central hole of the frame; projecting the jig from a center hole of the center pole; engaging a positioning portion provided on a diaphragm with the jig to position the diaphragm at a predetermined position with respect to the center pole, the positioning portion being removably connected with the jig positioned in the central hole of the frame to secure the position of the diaphragm relative to the magnetic circuit during the installation; and connecting the positioned diaphragm to the coil and the frame.

Method for manufacturing a speaker apparatus

A speaker system and a cooling device therefor is provided which is capable of effectively dissipating heat generated by a voice coil. The cooling device is formed as a unitary member having a first member having a hollow cylindrical shape which is integrally formed with a second member having a hollow cylindrical shape which is concentric thereto and has a larger diameter than the first member, and a plurality of third members each in the form of a plate and radially arranged between the first member and the second member for connecting the members. The first member is arranged adjacent to the voice coil and at the same time inside a magnetic flux loop generated by a magnetic circuit, and the second member is arranged outside the magnetic flux loop, so that heat generated by the voice coil can be efficiently dissipated from the second member.

A speaker apparatus includes a frame having a magnetic circuit, a voice coil bobbin installed in the frame to be magnetically coupled to the magnetic circuit, and a diaphragm movably installed in the frame and fixed to the voice coil bobbin so as to be driven by activating the magnetic circuit. The diaphragm has a positioning portion that had been used for securing the diaphragm relative to the magnetic circuit during an installation of the diaphragm in the frame.

A method of producing a loudspeaker vibrating diaphragm comprising the steps of injecting an amount of resin containing a foaming agent into a metallic mold of an injection molding machine, the mold including a fixed part and a movable part, reducing a mold pressing force of the injection molding machine upon completion of the resin injection, so as to enlarge a space formed between the fixed part and the movable part by a predetermined distance, so that the foaming agent is foamed to obtain a foam layer in the diaphgram.

A loudspeaker having a magnetizable pole piece, a voice coil member surrounding the pole piece with a portion of magnetic gap and connected to a vibratable diaphragm, and a damper supporting the voice coil member, is characterized in that an elastic member is provided between the pole piece and the voice coil member in the magnetic gap wherein an elastic member is made of an elastic material having an elastic constant substantially 1.5 times or more than that of the damper. In addition, the elastic material is made of a silicone rubber.

A loudspeaker vibrating diaphragm with has a foam layer and two un-foamed skin layers formed on both sides of the foam layer. The average foaming magnification including the foam layer and two un-foamed skin layers is 1.1-3.0. The average foaming magnification is the ratio of the thickness of the resin after foaming (which equals the sum of the thicknesses of the foamed layer and the two un-foamed layers) to the thickness of the resin before foaming. The foam layer contains foaming bubble cells which are formed with their longer axes arranged in the thickness direction of the diaphragm. The thickness of each un-foamed skin layer is 0.05-0.20 mm.

A grille is attached to a woofer, and a tweeter is further mounted on the grille to mutually face the woofer and be at least partially disposed in a cavity defined by the woofer and grille to define a compact loudspeaker structure. The grille and a back of the tweeter face an environment to which sound is to be directed, and both contain structures and are arranged to allow sound from the tweeter and woofer to communicate with the environment, while resisting water from contaminating the woofer and tweeter. Further, the rim of the grille and a frame define a component storage space in which elements which constitute a dividing network or other discrete electronic components of the loudspeaker are housed.
