Provided are a treatment device and a treatment method capable of easily reusing a used rinsing liquid, and reducing the amount of waste liquid. A treatment device has: a developing portion which is provided with a developing unit which performs development by removing a non-exposed portion of a flexographic printing plate precursor after imagewise exposure using a developer containing a washing solution; a rinsing portion which is provided with a rinsing liquid supply portion which supplies a rinsing liquid containing substantially only water as a component to at least a surface of the flexographic printing plate precursor after development, from which the non-exposed portion of the flexographic printing plate precursor has been removed; a developer storage portion which has a developer storage tank which stores the developer which is used for the development in the developing portion; a first liquid feeding path through which the developer after development is fed to the developer storage tank of the developer storage portion; and a second liquid feeding path different from the first liquid feeding path, through which the rinsing liquid supplied by the rinsing portion is fed to the developer storage tank of the developer storage portion, and the developing portion repeatedly uses the developer stored in the developer storage tank of the developer storage portion to perform the development.

A submerged processing device for a photosensitive material disposed at a partitioning wall which is provided within a processing tank main body and which is between processing chambers respectively storing a processing liquid, the submerged processing device includes: a housing at an interior of which is formed a processing space where the processing liquid is stored; a conveying path for conveying-in of the photosensitive material and which is formed in the housing so as to communicate with an interior of the processing space; a path for conveying-out of the photosensitive material and which is formed in the housing so as to communicate with the interior of the processing space; a processing liquid passage preventing mechanism disposed at the photosensitive material conveying path such that only the photosensitive material passes therethrough; and a processing liquid changing mechanism provided at the housing, for changing the processing liquid stored in the processing space.

Submerged processing device for photosensitive material

A photosensitive material processing apparatus according to the present invention includes a tank that has a body charged with a solution that processes the photosensitive material, the apparatus comprising a filter for purifying the processing solution, and a conduit for circulating the processing solution from a lower region of the tank body to an upper region of the tank body. Further, a pleated cartridge filter for use in a photosensitive material processing comprises a cylindrical pleated filter body formed by folding a filtering sheet member; and a blocking member, including a hole that communicates between an interior of the filter body and the outside, for blocking at least one end of the filter body, wherein a portion of the blocking member contacting the fitting portion is compressed when the blocking member is fitted to the fitting portion to closely contact the same.

A processor for processing a photosensitive material. The processor includes a discharge device for discharging a processing solution stored in a processing tank, a replenishment device for replenishing a replenisher solution to the processing tank, a processing solution acquiring device for acquiring the quantity of the processing solution stored in the processing tank, and a water adding device for adding water to the processing tank. The discharge device is able to measure the processing solution to be discharged, and the replenishment device is able to measure the replenisher solution to be replenished.

Method of replenishing solution for photosensitive material processor

A method for determining a state of a processing solution in a printer processor which exposes a photosensitive material to a light emitted from a light source and processes the material with processing solution, the printer processor having a function to correct exposure conditions in response to at least the amount of light from the light source, a characteristic of the photosensitive material, and a state of the processing solution by adjusting a plurality of exposure condition correction parameter values, comprising the steps of: (a) storing change history of at least one of the exposure condition correction parameter values; and (b) determining whether or not the state of the processing solution is in a preferable state based on the stored change history of at least one of the correction parameter values. Therefore, the characteristics of the change in the processing solution state appear in the history of change of the exposure condition correction parameter values. In other words, the processing solution can be determined whether or not it is in a preferable state based on the history of change of the correction parameter values.

Method for determining a state of processing solution in a printer

A feed rack in which a substantially U-shaped film passage is formed, and disposed in a processing tank such that the processing solution level of the processing tank is located below the top surface of a block by a predetermined dimension so as to reduce the area of contact between the processing solution and outside air. The processing tank is equipped with a solution level regulation tank or replenisher tank in which air-isolating member is floated on a contained solution. Between the replenisher tank and the processing tank are provided a transport mechanism for transporting a replenisher from the replenisher tank to the processing tank and a prevention mechanism for preventing the air-isolating member from entering the processing tank.

Photosensitive material processing apparatus

An apparatus for processing a photographic sensitive material capable of accurately controlling photographic characteristics and processing solutions. If exposures of images recorded on a negative film have been integrated, for a predetermined number of frames a mean exposure is calculated and a result of comparison thereof with a reference exposure is supplied to the film processor. The result of the comparison is used to control the processing performance of the film processor. A density meter measures the densities of an exposed portion and a non-exposed portion of a color paper processed in a processor portion. As physical quantities affecting the photographic characteristics, the throughput of color paper per unit period, temperature, pH, specific gravity and electric conductivity of processing solutions, quantity of replenishment of replenisher to be replenished to the processing solutions and quantity of water to be added to the processing solutions are detected. If the detected density is out of a predetermined ranger the cause of the measured density being out of the predetermined range is estimated in accordance with the detected physical quantities. In accordance with the estimated causer the quantity of the replenisher to be replenished to processing baths is changed in accordance with the estimated cause so as to make the density of the exposed portion and the non-exposed portion to be included in a predetermined range.

Apparatus for processing photographic sensitive material

A developing machine having a high durability at a high temperature even in the presence of a high concentration of the developing agent is provided. The developing machine has means for keeping the temperature of a color developer having a concentration of an aromatic primary amine developing agent of 0.15 to 0.50 mol/l in the range of 40.degree. to 50.degree. C., and the material for at least one of the developing tanks and the racks is a resin selected from the group consisting of polyphenylene sulfide resin, polyphenylene oxide resin, polymethylpentene resin, polyether ether ketone resin, polyalkylene terephthalate resin, polyether imide resin, polyether sulfone resin and polysulfone resin.

Developing machine and developing method for color photography

A photographic processing apparatus efficiently processes color photographic film and color printing paper. Intermediate portions of pipes for circulating processing solutions which communicate with a bleaching tank, first and second fixing tanks, a wash tank and first and second stabilizing bath tanks of a film processing section, and a bleaching/fixing tank and first through third rinsing tanks of a printing paper processing section penetrate a metal block of a cast heater so that the pipes are coupled together by the metal block for efficient heat transmission. A heater is provided inside the metal block to uniformly heat the processing solutions which flow through the pipes. Heat is exchanged among the processing solutions flowing through the pipes so that the processing solutions in the bleaching tank through the second stabilizing bath tank of the film processing section and the bleaching/fixing tank through the third rinsing tank of the printing paper processing section are effectively maintained at the roughly same temperature.

A photographic processing condition managing method applied to an image forming device equipped with a function for immersing a photosensitive material for photographing into a processing solution for photosensitive materials for photographing so as to process the photosensitive material for photographing. The method includes the steps of: for a photosensitive material for photographing, which has been used for photographing and on which an image has been exposed and which has been immersed into and processed by a processing solution for photosensitive materials for photographing at an image forming device, dividing at least one of the image developed on the photosensitive material for photographing and a portion of the photosensitive material for photographing other than the image into a plurality of colors, and measuring a density of each color, and storing a measured density value of each color, and repeating the steps of dividing, measuring and storing; and determining a state of the processing solution for photosensitive materials for photographing of the image forming device on the basis of an average value of the stored density values, which average value is calculated each time a predetermined period of time elapses. Accordingly, the state of the processing solution for photosensitive materials for photographing can be determined without using a control strip or the like, and can be managed easily and appropriately.

A processing apparatus for color photographic photosensitive materials comprises (a) processing tanks comprising a color developing tank, a desilvering tank, a washing tank and/or a stabilizing tank, (b) means for replenishing respective processing tanks, (c) means for controlling an amount of replenishing color developing solution to be charged into the color developing tank in such that an amount of overflow liquid from the color developing tank is at most 400 ml per m.sup.2 of the processed color photographic photosensitive materials, (d) one storage tank for collecting overflow liquids from all of the processing tanks and (e) means for introducing all overflow liquids from the processing tanks into the storage tank. This apparatus is small-size and has only one waste liquid tank with a low cost and a stable capacity without reducing efficiency of recovering silver and generating ammonia gas.

Processing apparatus for color photographic material

A defoaming device and method for aeration, for use in a processor equipped with an aeration apparatus for sending air into a processing solution. The defoaming device includes a pipe for guiding foam produced in the aeration apparatus to outside the aeration apparatus; and at least one of a throttle portion, which is disposed midway in the pipe and formed by reducing a cross-sectional area of the pipe, and an air-stream guiding device for guiding an air stream into a portion of the pipe in a downstream direction corresponding to the direction of the flow of the foam. The flow rate of foam in the pipe is accelerated by the throttle portion and/or the air-stream guiding device, thereby positively removing the foam produced in the aeration apparatus.

Defoaming device and method for aeration

A drying apparatus for use in a photosensitive material processing system, which is designed so that nonuniformity of drying in a direction intersecting a belt-shaped photosensitive material, e.g., a photographic negative film, photographic paper, etc., is eliminated, and the overall electric power capacity of the system is minimized. A plurality of electric current heaters (44.sub.1 and 44.sub.2) are disposed in parallel in a direction intersecting belt-shaped photosensitive materials (F.sub.1 and F.sub.2) transported, and each electric current heater is individually current-controlled to change the temperature distribution of the heated air, thereby compensating for the nonuniformity of drying of the belt-shaped photosensitive materials (F.sub.1 and F.sub.2) in the lateral direction, for example. The electric current heaters (44.sub.1 and 44.sub.2) are individually current-controlled by making the current input time different for each electric current heater. Thus, it is possible to minimize the rush current and the overall electric power capacity of the system.

Drying apparatus for use in photosensitive material processing system

The present invention provides a system for controlling the temperatures of processing solutions in a photosensitive material processor, which enables the temperatures of processing solutions to be controlled with a smaller power source capacity yet with high efficiency. In a photosensitive material processor including a plurality of processing tanks 12 to 19 for processing a photosensitive material F and a drier 30, at least one processing tank is provided with a plurality of independently controllable electric heaters N1-1 to 1-3 capable of heating the processing solution therein. Depending on the heat capacity needed for each processing tank, power supply to the heater for the processing tank under low load is stopped when the power consumption of the processor proper is increased, thereby achieving an efficient distribution of power and, hence, enabling power source equipment of very small capacity to be used.
