A light irradiation molding apparatus includes a pair of rubber molds through which light passes, and a light-irradiating means for emitting light from surfaces of the pair of rubber molds to a particulate thermoplastic resin placed in the cavity. The light irradiation molding apparatus relatively and sequentially moves the pair of rubber molds and the light-irradiating means so that an irradiation position of light emitted from the light-irradiating means moves from a melted portion to an unmelted portion of the thermoplastic resin, and the light irradiation molding apparatus sequentially melts portions of the thermoplastic resin.

A process for producing a thermoplastic resin molded product, comprising: a placement step of placing a thermoplastic resin particle compositionA into a cavityof a rubber diemade of a rubber material; a particle heating step of irradiating the thermoplastic resin particle compositionA in the cavitywith electromagnetic waves having wavelengths ranging from 0.78 to 2 &#x3bc;m through the rubber die, thereby heating to melt the thermoplastic resin particle compositionA; a filling step of filling a thermoplastic resinin a molten state into a spaceleft in the cavity; and a cooling step of cooling a thermoplastic resinin the cavitythereby obtaining a thermoplastic resin molded product.

Process for producing thermoplastic resin molded product and thermoplastic resin particle composition

A resin forming method and a resin forming apparatus for obtaining a resin formed product, by filling a cavity of a rubber-made mold with a thermoplastic resin, and cooling the thermoplastic resin. When filling the cavity with the thermoplastic resin, an electromagnetic wave generator is used, and electromagnetic waves having an intensity peak in a wavelength region of 0.78 to 2 &#x3bc;m are irradiated to the thermoplastic resin from the surface of the mold, and thereby the thermoplastic resin is heated selectively from the mold. The thermoplastic resin is an ABS resin which either a noncrystalline thermoplastic resin, or is a rubber modified thermoplastic resin.

Resin forming method and resin forming apparatus

Objects of the present invention are to provide a method for molding polymers to be able to mold products each of which has an outer shape transferred accurately from the shape of the inside of a mold, exhibits high dimensional accuracy and is uniform in the thickness of its surface skin layer and the expansion ratio in its foamed inside. A molten polymeris injected into a cavityand simultaneously gas is pressed to the inside of the molten polymerto contact the polymer close to the surface of the mold, and then gas is exhausted while maintaining the shape inside the mold, to thereby mold a polymer formed product in which a surface skin layerand a foamed insidehaving cushioning property are formed in one piece.

Method for formation of polymer

A process and an apparatus for molding, in which a molten thermoplastic resin is firmly fitted onto a molding surface of a mold under a pressure lower than or equal to 100 kg/cm.sup.2 and is cured to obtain a molded product. The molding apparatus has a mold main body, and a mold body on which the molding surface is defined. The mold body is supported relative to the mold main body with maintaining a space on the back side of the molding surface in a heat insulative manner by a supporting member which includes at least a heat insulative supporting member having a thermal conductivity of 0.001 to 1 Kcal/mh .degree.C. and a longitudinal elastic modulus of 0.01 to 10 kg/cm.sup.2. In the space, a heating fluid for heating the molding surface from the bask side to a temperature higher than or equal to Vicat softening temperate (T) .degree.C. of the thermoplastic resin and a cooling fluid for cooling the molding surface from the back side to a temperature lower than or equal to (Vicat softening temperature (T) of the thermoplastic resin -10) .degree.C. are supplied.

A process and an apparatus for molding, in which a molten thermoplastic resin is firmly fitted onto a molding surface of a mold under a pressure lower than or equal to 100 kg/cm.sup.2 and is cured to obtain a molded product. Molding process utilizing a molding apparatus

A molding resin composition comprising [A] 100 parts by weight of a vinyl chloride resin, [B] 30-110 parts by weight of a graft copolymer wherein 90-50 parts by weight of a monomer mixture consisting of 10-40% by weight of an alkenyl aromatic compound, 20-50% by weight of an alkenyl cyanide compound and 20-50% by weight of a methacrylate is graft-copolymerized on 10-50 parts by weight of polybutadiene or a rubbery copolymer of 60% by weight or more of butadiene and a vinyl monomer copolymerizable therewith (the amount of toluene-insoluble fraction is preferably 50% by weight or less), the degree of grafting being 30-110% and the acetone-soluble fraction of the graft copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4-1.5 dl/g as measured in methyl ethyl ketone at 30.degree. C., [C] 3-50 parts by weight of a rubbery acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer and [D] 15-100 parts by weight of a plasticizer for vinyl chloride resins. Said composition is suitable for producing soft or semi-rigid leather-like sheets by vacuum forming. Said sheets are excellent in heat-resistance, light-resistance and cold-resistance.
