A silver halide light-sensitive color photographic material is disclosed. The material comprises thermotropic low molecular crystal. The material is improved in light fastness of a dye image and dye-forming efficiency.

A light-sensitive silver halide color photographic material comprising a support and, provided thereon, a red light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a novel pyrazoloazole type cyan dye-forming coupler having at least one electron attractive group at a substitutable position except the active site of the coupler for coupling reaction.

In a heat-developable color light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least two light-sensitive layers each comprising a light-sensitive silver halide, organic silver salt, dye-donating material capable of releasing or forming a diffusible dye by heat development, reducing agent, and hydrophilic binder, said at least two light-sensitive layers differing from each other in the color sensitivity of said light-sensitive silver halide and in the hue of said diffusible dye, said heat-developable color light-sensitive material, wherein at least one of said light-sensitive layer(s) containing said dye-donating materials are hardened with a hardening agent for said hydrophilic binder. The foregoing heat-developable color light-sensitive material prevents diffusion of the dye-donating material and reduces or prevents the color-crossover phenomenon. Transferability of the dye is also improved as is scratch resistance of the photographic component layers.

Heat developable color light-sensitive material

A heat-developable color photosensitive element having a support bearing thereon at least one photographic component layer containing a photosensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent, a dye donor substance and a binder. The photosensitive element is characterized by the photographic component layer which contains a thermal solvent and a binder which contains both a gelatin and a vinyl pyrrolidone polymer.

A method for synthesizing a magenta coupler. The synthesis is carried out through (1) 3-pyrazoline-5-ones which are obtained by substituting a blocking group at the nitrogen atom in the second position thereof; or (2) pyrazoles which are obtained by substituting a blocking group at the hydroxyl group bonded in the fifth position thereof. The magenta coupler obtained has the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an aryl or heterocyclic group, R.sub.2 is an acylamide, anilino or ureido group, and R3 is an alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic group.

There is disclosed a heat-sensitive transfer recording medium comprising a support and, provided thereon, a colorant-containing layer for heat-sensitive transfer, wherein said colorant-containing layer contains a silicone wax as a heat-fusible material which is solid or semi-solid at ambient temperature or room temperature. The recording medium according to the present invention is capable of printing at low energy and with high transfer sensitivity.

The thermal transfer recording medium provides low energy printing at high speed with little decrease in its density even after being used for many copies, thus permitting high density dye transfer images to be obtained over very many times.
