An ink jet recording head is produced by forming in a first substrate a plurality of orifices for ejecting an ink droplet and a reference object for registration; forming in a second substrate ejection energy generating elements for supplying energy for ejecting the ink placed in liquid passages communicating with the orifices; and joining the first substrate and the second substrate together on the basis of the reference object for registration.

Process for producing an ink jet recording head

A table having a plurality of holding portions for holding recording heads to be tested is arranged to be pivotal between a printing position and a changing position, so that the recording head located at the changing position can be changed during estimation of the recording head located at the printing position. An estimation pattern in which dots are arranged so as not to contact each other is printed on a recording medium. The printed estimation pattern is read by an image pick-up device, and character amounts in units of dots are extracted from image data obtained by the image pick-up device. Pattern estimated values are calculated according to the dot character amounts and are used to judge whether the recording head is normal. Another printed pattern is read by the image pick-up device, and an edge image is extracted from density image data obtained by the image pick-up device. After enlargement/reduction processing is performed for the edge image, an edge image is extracted again. Shape character values in units of areas separated by edge lines of the edge image are obtained, and the pattern and any stain are discriminated based on the shape character values, thereby detecting a stain state. A one-dimensional average density in the line direction of the pattern is obtained from the density image data, and a line width is obtained based on the average density. A stain is detected on the basis of the line width.

Testing method and apparatus for judging a printing device on the basis

There is disclosed a laser beam output optical unit adjustment method and apparatus, which can perform inspection and adjustment of a laser beam unit and a laser scanning optical system including this unit used in a laser beam printer within a short period of time. The laser irradiation position is roughly adjusted using a wide-field position detector, and focus rough adjustment is then performed using a narrow-field position detector. Thereafter, fine adjustment of the irradiation position and focus fine adjustment are performed using the narrow-field position detector. An image enhancement tube capable of a high-speed gate operation is arranged in a laser scanning region, and instantaneously takes a beam spot during laser scanning. An image processing devices analyzes the taken spot image, and a calculation unit calculates various data.

Inspection/adjustment method and apparatus for laser beam output optical

In a laser process apparatus, a plurality of holes each having a predetermined shape are formed in a work upon radiation of light from an excimer laser. The apparatus is provided with a mask, in which a plurality of predetermined small holes are formed in correspondence with the plurality of holes to be formed in the work, and which allows laser light from the excimer laser to pass through the small holes thereof toward the work, a projection optical system for projecting optical images each having a predetermined shape onto the work through the small holes of the mask, a measurement optical system for measuring a work position, and a moving stage for moving the work on the basis of a measurement result form the measurement optical system.

An optical apparatus (23) for emitting light is constituted by a fixation holder (8) fixed to a predetermined positioning fixation jig via a fixation plate (8a), a lens-barrel (10), fitted on a cylindrical portion of the fixation holder (8) via an annular gap (19), and formed of a transparent material, for holding a collimator lens (2), and a semi-conductor laser light source (1) fitted under pressure in the fixation holder (8). An ultraviolet curing adhesive (18) is uniformly filled in the gap (19). Before the ultraviolet curing adhesive (18) is cured, the lens-barrel (10) is movable in an optical axis direction (Z) and in two-dimensional directions (directions of arrows X and Y) on a plane perpendicular to the optical axis direction (Z) with respect to the fixation holder (8).

In a work convey apparatus according to the present invention, a plurality of workpieces are conveyed from a tray for storing a large number of non-processed workpieces, which are aligned at a first pitch with surface to be processed facing down, to a process machine. The apparatus is provided with a first convey robot for picking up the plurality of workpieces from the tray while the positions of the workpieces are left unchanged, and conveying the workpieces, a work reverse unit including a reverse arm, arranged in a convey range of the first convey robot, for reversing the positions of the workpieces so that the surfaces to be processed of the workpieces face up to be inclined at a predetermined angle, a pitch conversion unit, arranged within an access range of the reverse arm, for converting a pitch between the received workpieces into a second pitch, and a second convey robot, arranged between the pitch conversion unit and the process machine, for conveying the workpieces between the pitch conversion unit and said process machine.

An ink-jet head assembling apparatus assembles a nozzle head of an ink-jet head for discharging an ink in a predetermined pattern from a heater board having a plurality of heaters for heating the ink, and a top plate member having a plurality of discharge orifices for discharging the ink heated by the corresponding heaters in a jet-like manner. The apparatus is provided with a first position detection mechanism for measuring forming positions of the discharge orifices of said top plate member, a second position detection mechanism for detecting arranging positions of the heaters on said heater board, a position adjustment mechanism for comparing a first detection result detected by said first position detection mechanism with a second detection result detected by said second position detection mechanism, and moving said top plate member relative to said heater board by a shift amount between the two detection results so as to align the positions of the heaters with the positions of the corresponding discharge orfices, and an adhesion mechanism for adhering said top plate member and said heater board aligned by said position adjustment mechanism to each other.
