A microfilm camera comprises a camera head and a document support. The camera head includes a film transport mechanism for intermittently feeding a strip of microfilm past an exposure station at which an aperture plate is disposed. The aperture in the aperture plate is adjustable in one of at least two different sizes by means of a masking flap supported for movement between a first size position, in which a portion of the aperture is shielded, and a second size position in which the masking flap is clear from the aperture. When a document of a relatively small size is placed on the document support, the masking flap is in the first size position, but when a document of a relatively large size is placed on the document support, the masking flap is in the second size position. The camera head also includes a shutter for selectively intercepting and opening an optical path extending through a lens assembly in alignment with the aperture along which imagewise rays of light carrying an image of the document travel towards the microfilm. The microfilm camera also comprises a marking imprint mechanism so designed that, in the case of the microfilmed image of the document of the first size, a single marking is imprinted on the microfilm, but in the case of the microfilmed image of the document of the second size, spaced-apart markings are imprinted on the microfilm.

Microfilm camera

An image recording apparatus for recording an image on a record sheet by projecting the image onto an image recorder through a projection lens includes an image position detecting device for detecting position of the image to be projected on the image recorder and a reflecting mirror for correction of the image position for shifting an optical axis of light incident on the image recorder in the direction orthogonal to the direction of feeding a recording material. A shift of the reflecting mirror for correction of the image position and a time to feed the recording material to the image recorder are controlled in response to the result of detection by the image position detecting device. This makes it possible to control a position where the image is to be formed in both the recording material feeding direction and the orthogonal direction thereto.

Image recording apparatus

A method and apparatus for additionally photographing information for retrieval during the photographing of an original image on a microfilm is disclosed. A slit light from a light source is projected on the microfilm while the microfilm is being transported. The length of the information for retrieval to be additionally photographed on the microfilm can be freely set by controlling the period of the projection of the light on the microfilm. One displaying device is adapted to project light in the pattern of one numeral on the microfilm while the microfilm is at rest.

Method of photographing on microfilm and apparatus therefor

A roll film camera is disclosed which comprises a supply reel for winding the part of a roll of recording medium yet to be used and a takeup reel for winding the part of the recording medium already used for photographing original images. This camera is constructed so as to be loaded with a plurality of types of recording medium which differs in thickness. The length of the part of the recording medium yet to be used is shown in a displaying part, according to the type of recording medium. When the residual amount of the recording medium of a given type decreases below a prescribed length, an alarm is issued which prompts the operator to make preparation for the loading of a new recording medium.

Roll film camera

Disclosed is a reader printer having an image rotation prism for adapting the direction of a microfilm image to suitable direction. The reader-printer has an image direction detecting means for forming the microfilm image successfully onto a copy paper without consideration of the direction of the image. The reader-printer also has a prism orientation detecting means for automatically eliminating difference between a location of the image and a location of the fed paper.

A microcamera for photographing the image of an original document on a film, with an aperture for determining a photographing area. The size of the aperture is variable in accordance with a document size by moving an end edge of the aperture adjacent a film supply reel with an end edge thereof adjacent to a film takeup reel fixed. Aperture size variations effected in this manner is free from superposition of an image on a preceding image when the photographing area is enlarged from half size to full size, for example. Conversely, when the photographing area is reduced from fullsize to half size, a space between adjacent images may be the same as when the photographing area is not reduced.

Microcamera

Disclosed is a reader-printer being capable of erasing a frame surrounding margin of a microfilm and unnecessary image portion in the frame. The reader-printer comprises first flap member, second flap member which are disposed adjacent to a slit and movable in and out of a light path directing toward a photosensitive drum and a lamp to illuminate those flap members when they are moved into the light path. The first flap member is movable in the longitudinal direction along the slit for varying a shading area.

The disclosure is directed to an improved paper sheet feeding arrangement for use in a copying apparatus or the like, which is capable of positively preventing paper sheets from wrinkling, bending, etc. during withdrawal of a paper sheet cassette by returning the paper sheet having a projecting leading edge, back into the paper sheet cassette in association with a multi-sheet feeding prevention mechanism when the cassette is released from a paper feeding section.
