A switching valve device for switching an intermediate flow path through which a fluid flows from an inlet to an outlet includes: a first valve which switches a flow path extending from the inlet to one of two flow paths; and a second valve which is provided on a downstream side of the first valve and switches the intermediate flow path by a differential pressure generated by depressurization in an external flow path Lout connected to the intermediate flow path connected to one of the two flow paths.

When a detection value of a temperature sensor exceeds a set temperature, an ECU increases an opening of a sub-port by controlling a solenoid valve, and as a result, an intake volume of an expander increases. A heat-insulating mechanism in a compressor which introduces refrigerant gas from a suction pressure region to a compression chamber and discharges the refrigerant gas from the compression chamber to a discharge pressure region has a circular passage, a communication passage, a cylindrical member and a passage heat-insulating member. The circular passage, which is a portion of the suction pressure region, has a circular cross-section, and is in communication with an external refrigerant circuit. The communication passage, which is a portion of the suction pressure region, intersects the circular passage for connection therewith, and is communicable with the compression chamber. The cylindrical member is fitted into the circular passage. The passage heat-insulating member made of an insulating material covers at least a portion of a passage wall surface which forms the communication passage. Rotation of the cylindrical member is prevented by engaging the passage heat-insulating member with the cylindrical member.

A power transmission mechanism for transmitting driving power between a shaft and a rotor connected to the shaft includes a cylindrical adapter located between the shaft and the rotor and a screw seat arranged on the shaft. The adapter has a first internally threaded portion in its inner peripheral surface and a first externally threaded portion in its outer peripheral surface. The first internally threaded portion is engaged with a second externally threaded portion of the shaft, and the first externally threaded portion is engaged with a second internally threaded portion of the rotor. The screw seat has a screw seat surface. The adapter is screwed onto the shaft such that the adapter is pressed against the screw seat surface, and the rotor is screwed onto the adapter such that the rotor is pressed against the screw seat surface.

Power transmission mechanism and process of assembling the same

A torque limiter to be operatively coupled to an engine is secured to the outer periphery of a driving shaft through screwing-engagement. The driving shaft and the torque limiter are screw-engaged and fixed to each other so that the torque limiter is pushed or urged against a seating face formed at the outer periphery of the driving shaft. The seating face abuts against the torque limiter restricting the screwing-movement of the driving shaft. Rotation force is transmitted between the driving shaft and the torque limiter via the seating face. A cylindrical member is disposed between the torque limiter and the seating face of the driving shaft. The cylindrical member is press-fitted and fixed to the outer periphery of the driving shaft, so that the power transmission between the driving shaft and the torque limiter is also performed through the press-fit portion between the cylindrical member and the driving shaft.

A variable displacement type compressor circulates a refrigerant in an air conditioning circuit. The compressor has a compression mechanism and a displacement controller. The compression mechanism compresses and discharges the refrigerant. The displacement controller controls the discharge amount of the refrigerant of the compressor. The displacement controller further includes a normal control means and a protective control means. The normal control means controls the displacement based on a cooling load. The protective control means controls the displacement based on the value in connection with the rotational speed of the compressor and the actual operating information of the compressor.

A piston includes an engagement portion that engages with a swash plate. The engagement portion is provided with a pair of arm portions and a coupling portion for coupling base ends of the arm portions each other. An axial rib extending in the axial direction is integrally provided in a central part of a back surface of the coupling portion in the width direction orthogonal to a central axis of a head portion of the piston. An accommodation groove is formed on an inner circumferential surface of a cylinder bore corresponding to the axial rib, such that the axial rib does not interfere with the cylinder bore when the piston moves to the top dead center.

A compressor that reduces pressure pulsation includes a mounting member for attaching the compressor to a vehicle support. The mounting member is integrally formed with an end wall of a rear housing member. A suction chamber and a discharge chamber are defined in the rear housing member. The discharge chamber is located outside the suction chamber and surrounds the suction chamber. An auxiliary chamber is formed in the mounting member. The auxiliary chamber is centrally located. The auxiliary chamber increases the volume of the suction chamber, which reduces pulsation. Since the auxiliary chamber is formed in the mounting member, neither the weight or the volume of parts that might interfere with other devices is increased.

A cylinder block includes an annular groove, which is coaxial with the support spring. The rear end is elastically deformed in the radial direction and is positioned in the annular groove.
