A silicone pressure sensitive adhesive composition is curable to form a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. The silicone pressure sensitive adhesive composition can be coated on a substrate and cured to form a protective film. The protective film can be adhered to an anti-fingerprint coating on display glass, such as cover glass for a smartphone.

Silicone pressure sensitive adhesive composition and methods for the preparation and use thereof

An (A) additive organopolysiloxane composition is disclosed, which includes (A1) a branched organopolysiloxane polymer comprising M, D and Q siloxy units, (A2) a silicone resin, and (A3) a polydiorganosiloxane oligomer. A curable composition is also disclosed, the curable composition including the (A) additive organopolysiloxane composition, (B) an organosilicon compound having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule, and (C) a hydrosilylation catalyst. A method of preparing the curable composition, and a method of forming a film with the curable composition are also disclosed. The compositions and methods are useful for forming silicone release coatings with high release force.

Provided is a release coating composition including a combination of branched polyorganosiloxanes. The first branched siloxane in the combination is an MDQ siloxane of unit formula: (RSiO)(RRSiO)(RSiO)(SiO), a&#x2265;0, b&#x3e;0, c&#x2264;995, and d&#x3e;0. The second branched siloxane in the combination is an MDT silsesquioxane of unit formula: (RSiO)(RRSiO)(RSiO)(RSiO), e&#x2265;0, f&#x3e;0, g&#x2264;995, and h&#x3e;0. Each Ris independently a monovalent hydrocarbon group free of aliphatic unsaturation and each Ris an aliphatically unsaturated hydrocarbon group. The release coating composition further includes a crosslinker having at least 3 silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule, a platinum group metal catalyst and an inhibitor.

Polyorganosiloxane release coating and method for its preparation and use

A silicone release coating composition is disclosed. The silicone release coating composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups in a molecule; (B) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in a molecule; (C) organic modified functional silica particles having an average particle size of 5 &#x3bc;m to 15 &#x3bc;m and a BET specific surface area of 600 m/g to 800 m/g; and (D) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst. Also provided is an emulsion type silicone pressure sensitive adhesive composition, comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive; (B) 1-30 parts by weight of an emulsifier selected from the group consisting of a polyvinylalcohol and a polyether modified MQ resin wherein M is R 3SiO 1/2, and Q is SiO 4/2, wherein R represents C 1-20 alkyl; (C) water; and (D) catalyst.
