A method for producing a composition containing a latex of a nitrile rubber of &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer unit of 8 to 60 wt % content, and an iodine value of 120 or less, an isothiazoline-based compound represented by formula (1), and a benzisothiazoline-based compound represented by formula (2), both in a content of 26 ppm by weight or more to the rubber, wherein adding both compounds to the latex at 2,000 ppm by weight/min or less, at 50&#xb0; C. or lower, and the compounds in an aqueous state having 0.1 to 40 wt % concentration.

A method for efficiently producing a toner for developing electrostatic images, which contains very few coarse particles and having excellent printing characteristics. The method can comprise a sieving step of removing coarse particles from colored resin particles by, using an air flow, supplying the colored resin particles to a sieve, wherein a metal mesh laminate comprising at least two metal meshes attached to each other by sintering, the metal meshes being different in opening size, is used as the sieve; wherein the metal meshes of the metal mesh laminate are laminated in order of opening size and, of the metal meshes constituting the metal mesh laminate, one having a smallest opening size is disposed on a side of supplying the colored resin particles; and wherein the opening size of the metal mesh having the smallest opening size is in a range of from 32 to 110 &#x3bc;m.

The present invention is to provide a toner production method configured to prevent scale formation, be resistant to pipe clogging, and realize stable and efficient toner production, even in the case of long-term continuous production. Disclosed is a toner production method comprising: a dispersing step for obtaining a colorant dispersion by, in a stirring tank, (a) dispersing or dissolving a colorant and a charge control agent in a polymerizable monomer, or (b) dispersing or dissolving a binder resin, a colorant and a charge control agent in an organic solvent, and a droplets forming step by suspending the colorant dispersion in an aqueous dispersion medium, wherein, in the dispersing step, the binder resin, colorant or charge control agent is added to the polymerizable monomer or organic solvent in the stirring tank, from a hopper, through a pipe heated by a heating device.

Toner production method

The present invention is to provide a method for producing a toner capable of sufficiently decreasing the percentage of moisture content of a wet cake in the process of obtaining colored resin particles in wet state (wet cake), capable of reducing the workload in the following drying process, and thus excellent in productivity. A method for producing a toner comprising the steps of: a process of obtaining an aqueous dispersion of colored resin particles by forming colored resin particles by a wet method; a process of obtaining the colored resin particles in wet state (wet cake) by supplying the aqueous dispersion of the colored resin particles to a belt filter and performing solid-liquid separation; and a process of drying the wet cake, wherein a filter cloth continuous running type belt filter is used as the belt filter in the process of obtaining the wet cake, and the filter cloth continuous running type belt filter has a separation-washing mechanism, in which the aqueous dispersion of the colored resin particles is supplied on a lower filter cloth of the belt filter, the colored resin particles are separated followed by washing, and thus the wet cake is formed, and a pressure-ventilation mechanism, in which the wet cake is covered with an upper filter cloth, the wet cake, disposed between the upper and lower filter cloths, is ventilated while pressure is applied to the wet cake, and thus the wet cake having low percentage of moisture content is obtained.

The present invention provides a method of producing a polymerized toner which removes a by-product microparticle generated as a by-product upon polymerization in a by-product microparticle removing step, efficiently obtains a wet colored resin particle which has low moisture content (wet cake) by decreasing clogs caused at filter element in a dewatering step, enhances a drying efficiency (shorten the drying time) in a drying step, has an excellent productivity and a printing ability.

Method for producing polymerized toner

A charge control resin composition for positive or negative charge, which is prepared either by mixing and kneading a charge control resin for positive or negative charge with a colorant, or by mixing and kneading the above combination further with a charge control resin for opposite charge or a charge control resin composition for opposite charge; wherein colorant particles are finely dispersed as desired. The resultant mixture is mixed with a polymerizable monomer to obtain polymerizable monomer composition. Then, the polymerizable monomer composition is dispersed or emulsified in an aqueous dispersion medium containing a dispersion stabilizer, and polymerized to obtain a toner.

The invention relates to a magenta toner having magenta-colored resin particles comprising at least a binder resin and a magenta colorant. The magenta pigment is a magenta pigment composed of a combination of C.I. Pigment Red 31 and C.I. Pigment Red 150.
