A socket includes a first insulator, a second insulator, contacts, and a pair of metal fittings. The second insulator is located within the first insulator. The contacts are supported by the first insulator and are disposed within the second insulator movable relative to the first insulator. Each metal fitting of the pair of metal fittings is provided to the corresponding one of two ends of the first insulator that are opposite in an arrangement direction of the contacts. The metal fittings (40) each include a base supported by the first insulator, a biasing portion and a contacting portion.

A socket () includes a first insulator (), a second insulator (), and contacts (). The first insulator () is in the form of a frame. The second insulator () is movable relative to the first insulator (). The contacts () each include a support portion supported by the first insulator () and are disposed within the second insulator (). The contacts () each include an elastic portion () and a movable portion (). The elastic portion () is linked to the support portion and is located between the support portion and the second insulator (). The movable portion () includes a contacting portion () for contact with a connection object (). Socket and electronic device

A cable connector comprises: a first terminal; a second terminal; an insulator having an insertion groove into and from which a plate-shaped connection object is insertable and removable; and an actuator. The first terminal rotatably supports the actuator by an engaging portion that engages an engaged portion of the actuator. The second terminal includes: a first arm portion including a first contact portion configured to come into contact with one surface of the connection object by elastically deforming in a plate thickness direction of the connection object; and a second arm portion facing the first arm portion in the plate thickness direction, and including, at a tip thereof, a second contact portion configured to come into contact with an other surface of the connection object. The first contact portion is a part of an elastic piece that extends from an end of the first arm portion so as to be folded back, at the end, toward a side toward which the connection object is inserted. The second contact portion is located more to a side toward which the connection object is removed, than the first contact portion.

Cable connector

Provided is a connector having reduced height and area that facilitates the retention and removal of a connection object while preventing damages to itself during operation. According to the present disclosure, a connector () includes an insulator () having an accommodation section () for allowing insertion of a connection object (an FPC), an actuator () attached to the insulator (), and a locking member () that supports the connection object (the FPC) accommodated in the accommodation section () in an insertion-removal direction. When the actuator () is pushed in along a direction substantially orthogonal to the insertion-removal direction, the locking member () is elastically deformed and releases the connection object (the FPC).

Connector

A connector that, when changing an actuator from an open state to a closed state provides a sound that indicates the actuator has changed to a fully closed state. In one embodiment, the actuator has an open surface, a closed surface, a sloped connection surface, and a tip load transmission portion. The open surface enables insertion of a connection object into an insertion portion in an open state. The closed surface is approximately parallel to the connection object in a closed state. The sloped connection surface connects the open surface and the closed surface. The tip load transmission portion is located at an intersection of the closed surface and the sloped connection surface, and elastically contacts the connection object at a time at which a pressing load imparted by an elastic pressing portion is at a peak.

Electrical connector having an actuator structure

Provided is a connector that is capable of preventing breakage or dislocation of an actuator when an excessive force is applied to the actuator in an opening direction of the actuator, and also enables easy and reliable closing of the actuator during assembly of the actuator by an automatic assembling machine. An actuator () includes a pair of arms (B) that are arranged on either side of an accommodation section (A) and extending from either end of a pressing portion (A) in an insertion direction of a connection object (). The pair of arms (B) and an insulator () include first open state restriction unit (F,E) configured to restrict an opening angle of the actuator () from a closed state to an opened state.
