Laminated piezoelectric element

Provided is a vibration panel including an inner member, a first outer member, a second outer member, a piezoelectric actuator, an actuator bonding layer, and a filler. The inner member includes first and second main surfaces. The first outer member includes third and fourth main surfaces, the third main surface including a first region and a second region. The second outer member includes fifth and sixth main surfaces, the fifth main surface including a third region and a fourth region. The piezoelectric actuator causes vibration. The actuator bonding layer is disposed between the piezoelectric actuator and the second region and bonds the piezoelectric actuator to the second region. The filler fills a space between the second region and the fourth region and covers the piezoelectric actuator.

In an embodiments, an electronic devicehas a panelof roughly rectangular shape, a housingthat holds the panel, and a piezoelectric elementinstalled on the rear face side of the panel, wherein the panelis bonded to the housingwith its edges supported on the housing, and it also has at least one sidenot bonded to the housing(non-bonded side). The electronic device is capable of causing an entire panel to vibrate in a stable manner.

Electronic device

An electroacoustic transducer has a housing, piezoelectric speaker, dynamic speaker, and support member. The piezoelectric speaker includes a vibration plate having a first surface and a second surface on the opposite side of the first surface, as well as a piezoelectric element joined to at least one of the first surface and second surface, and divides the interior of the housing into a first space facing the first surface and a second space facing the second surface. The dynamic speaker is placed in the first space. The support member is constituted by a part of the housing or by a member different from the housing, has a supporting part facing the first surface or second surface, and supports the periphery of the first surface or second surface with the supporting part.

Electroacoustic transducer

In an embodiment, an electroacoustic transducer has a piezoelectric speaker, housing, and support member. The piezoelectric speakerhas a vibration platewith a periphery, and a piezoelectric elementjoined to the vibration plate. The housing houses the piezoelectric speaker. The support memberis constituted by a part of the housing or by a separate member, and supports the vibration platein multiple areas along the periphery. The electroacoustic transducer can offer excellent high-frequency characteristics.

A display apparatus includes a flat display panel, and a housing which surrounds the display panel. The housing includes a backboard portion facing the display panel and a sound emitting portion. A vibrating plate is arranged in a region corresponding to the sound emitting portion between the display panel and the backboard portion of the housing. A first spacer is attached to a rim portion of one surface of the vibrating plate, the first spacer being interposed between the vibrating plate and one of the backboard portion of the housing and the display panel. A second spacer is attached to a rim portion of the other surface of the vibrating plate, the second spacer being interposed between vibrating plate and the other of the backboard portion of the housing and the display panel. The first and second spacers are made of materials having different degree of hardness.

Flat display apparatus with speaker function

A piezoelectric element comprises a metallic plate-shaped diaphragm, a plate-shaped piezoelectric body, and electrodes provided on both surfaces of the piezoelectric body, wherein one electrode is fixed to a main surface of the diaphragm. An extension electrode is extended onto a projection projecting from the diaphragm while it is insulated from the diaphragm. The extension electrode is extended from the diaphragm to the projection while it is insulated from the diaphragm. The extension electrode is electrically connected to the electrode which is not fixed to the diaphragm of the piezoelectric body. The piezoelectric element is attached to a case while allowing a main surface of the projection on which the extension electrode is provided to be directed outward. The case is fixed inside a housing of an electronic device, and the projection and the extension electrode are respectively electrically connected to circuit patterns of a printed circuit board mounted inside the housing by way of conductive portions provided on an elastic connection block. With such an arrangement, the case attaching the piezoelectric element thereto can be easily fixed to the electronic device and is easily connected to a circuit without trouble.

Piezoelectric element and piezoelectric acoustic device

A piezoelectric acoustic device comprises a case and a piezoelectric element which is accommodated in the case and has an inner peripheral surface thereof supported by an inner peripheral surface of the case at a middle portion thereof. A plurality of projections are provided on an inner peripheral surface of the case and spaced circumferentially along the inner peripheral surface of the case for supporting the peripheral portion of the piezoelectric element. A gap between the peripheral portion of the piezoelectric element and the inner peripheral surface of the case is closed by an elastic adhesive. A plurality of projections provided on and spaced circumferentially along the inner peripheral surface of the case contact the periphery of the piezoelectric element at the tips thereof, which restricts a radial movement of the piezoelectric element relative to the case. The piezoelectric acoustic device that is small-sized and is provided with the piezoelectric element having a small diameter can obtain oscillating frequency equivalent to that of a piezoelectric acoustic device provided with a piezoelectric element having a relatively large diameter.
