Disclosed herein is a medical device including: a positioning catheter to be inserted into a blood vessel in the vicinity of an affected region; a treatment catheter to be inserted to reach the affected region; and attracting means provided at respective predetermined positions of both the catheters to apply a magnetic force in a direction of attracting each other; wherein the magnetic force of the attracting means restricts floating of the treatment catheter.

A tubular body for reducing the rate at which a fluid flows to a predetermined rate with a resistance in a flow control device of a pressure measuring system, includes a tubular member having an axis along which the fluid can flow therethrough, and a land projecting radially inwardly from an inner wall surface of the tubular member. The tubular member and the land are integrally formed as a unitary structure, the land having an orifice extending along the axis of the tubular member. A method of manufacturing the tubular body, and a flow control device incorporating the tubular body are also disclosed.

Method of making a tubular body

A disposable pressure transducer for measuring fluid pressure, which includes a sensor assembly in a housing. The housing includes a fluid chamber and a sensor-accommodating chamber which are formed integrally with each other. The sensor assembly comprises: a sensor chip for converting pressure into an electrical signal; an insulating board on which the sensor chip is mounted and which is provided with an integrated-circuit for processisng an output signal of the sensor chip so that an external measuring device can read the signal; a cylindrical coupling lid which is bonded to the board in such a manner as to surround the sensor chip and which is fitted into a communication through-hole which provides communication between the fluid chamber and the sensor-accommodating chamber of the housing; a pressure-transmitting medium charged into the interior of the coupling lid so as to provide electrical insulation between the fluid chamber and the sensor chip; and an electrical cable connected to the board and electrically connected to the external measuring device.

Tubular body, method of making tubular body, and flow control device

The waveform of a blood pressure of a patient is corrected by a pressure correcting mechanism having an air chamber having a volume ranging from 1 to 150 .mu.l and a resistance passage having one end communicating with the air chamber and the other end with a blood pressure measuring line. The resistance passage has a cross-sectional area ranging from 2000 to 160,000 .mu.m.sup.2 and a length ranging from 0.5 to 40 mm. A fluid such as a physiological saline solution filled in the blood pressure measuring line can flow through the resistance passage into the air chamber to dampen an extraneous pressure wave transmitted through the blood pressure measuring line.
