A lens sheet and lens sheet unit include an imaging module and an imaging device which can be made thinner. A first lens sheet has light transmission parts having a unit lens shape, and light absorption parts disposed alternatively with the light transmission parts. A lens sheet unit, on the image sensor side of the first lens sheet, includes a second lens sheet. The second lens sheet has light transmission parts having a unit lens shape, and light absorption parts disposed alternatively with the light transmission parts. When viewed from the optical axis direction, the direction in which the light transmission parts are arranged and the direction in which the light transmission parts are arranged intersect at an angle. An imaging module and a camera are included with the above lens sheet and lens sheet unit.

There is provided an optical sheet which can prevent problems when it is superimposed on another member. The optical sheet includes: a sheet-like base layer; a light control layer having unit shaped elements arranged in a direction parallel to a sheet surface of the base layer; and a light diffusing layer disposed between the base layer and the light control layer. The light diffusing layer includes a binder resin portion and particles dispersed in the binder resin portion. The particles in the binder resin portion includes a single particle and an aggregate formed of aggregated single particles.

Optical sheet, surface light source device and transmission type display device

A liquid crystal display apparatus comprises: a liquid crystal display panel including a liquid crystal cell between a first polarizing plate and a second polarizing plate; and a surface light source device having a light source unit and a light guide plate. In a polarized light output from the light guide plate, when the normal direction of a light output surface is defined to be at a polar angle of 90&#xb0;, and the light guiding direction of the light guide plate is defined to be a direction of an azimuth angle of 0&#xb0;-180&#xb0;, a ratio La/Lt of integrated intensity La of output light in ranges where the polar angle is 50&#xb0; to 80&#xb0; and the azimuth angle is 135&#xb0; to 225&#xb0;, 0&#xb0; to 45&#xb0;, and 315&#xb0; to 360&#xb0; to integrated intensity Lt of total output light is 0.3 or more.

Liquid crystal display apparatus

A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display panel including a liquid crystal cell between first second polarizing plates; and a surface light source device. The surface light source device includes a light source unit, a light guide plate for outputting first directivity light having directivity of maximum intensity in a first direction, which forms a predetermined angle from a normal direction of the light output surface in a plane approximately parallel to a light guiding direction of light, and having a high ratio of a polarized light component oscillating in the plane and a prism sheet being configured to convert the first directivity light into second directivity light directed in a second direction within a predetermined angle from the normal direction of the light output surface of the light guide plate while substantially maintaining a polarization state of the first directivity light.

An electromagnetic wave shielding materialcomprises a light-shielding electrical conductor layerhaving, on its observer-side external surface, a blackening layer. The electromagnetic shielding sheet has a conductive structure () having lines () having straight parts of widths (W) in the range of C(1&#xb1;30%), where C is a predetermined value. A polarization light splitting film having a light receiving side and a light transmitting side. The polarization light splitting film includes an optical rotation selection layer at the light receiving side for reflecting one of right and left circularly polarized components of a light beam that is incident on the light receiving side and for transmitting the other one of the right and left circular polarization components of the light beam, and a quarter-wave layer laminated over the optical rotation selection layer at the light transmitting side.

Electromagnetic wave shielding film and method for producing the same

An electromagnetic wave shielding filterincludes a meshed layer, wherein at least one of the front and back surfaces of the meshed layer is subjected to a blackening treatment to be a blackened face having micro-irregularities. The shape of the micro-irregularities is adjusted to have a probability density curve with a peak point being convex upward wherein the probability density curve is defined as a curve depicted in a graph in which the change of height from the peak value Rp to the bottom value Rv of the deepest valley is shown as the horizontal axis while the probability density expressing the distribution of height is shown as the vertical axis. Also, in the probability density curve, a horizontal tangent can be drawn at its peak point.

An antiglare film having excellent durability is disposed on the front of a display device and comprises a transparent plastic film and, formed on the transparent plastic film, at least an antiglare layer having fine concaves and convexes on its surface, wherein the antiglare layer is formed of a transparent resin and satisfies requirements that: (1) the surface of the antiglare layer has a three-dimensional ten-point mean roughness of 0.9 &#x3bc;m to 3 &#x3bc;m; and (2) the mean spacing between adjacent profile peaks on a three-dimensional roughness reference plane is 20 &#x3bc;m to 50 &#x3bc;m.
