A gas measurement adapter includes a flow tube portion configured to allow gas to pass through the flow tube portion and a window portion configured to allow measurement light for measuring a component of the gas passing through the flow tube portion to pass through the window portion. The adapter is prepared by using an adapter forming material containing a cycloolefin-based resin as a main component.

An airway adaptor includes a tubular member to which a measuring section configured to measure a flow rate of a respiratory gas of a subject is to be attached. The tubular member includes: a gas passage through which the respiratory gas to pass; and a resistance portion which is configured to generate a differential pressure in the respiratory gas passing through the gas passage, the resistance portion includes at least two partition members which are disposed in the gas passage along an axial direction of the tubular member and which are separated from one another, and side surfaces of the partition members are separated from an inner wall surface of the gas passage.

A bite block includes a hollow oral cavity insert part, a plate and a hollow outside part. The hollow oral cavity insert part is in contacts with an oral cavity of a subject at the time of attaching the bite block to the subject. The plate is formed in a flange shape extending from the oral cavity insert part. A hollow outside part includes an exposed portion which is exposed to an outside of the oral cavity at the time of attaching, and communicates with a hole of the oral cavity insert part. In the bite block, the hollow outside part includes at least one through hole with which an external device is attached to the bite block, on the exposed portion.

An airway adaptor includes: a nasal expiration collecting portion which is to be connected to a nostril of a living body, and which collects an expiration of the nasal cavity; a gas passage portion that forms a gas passage through which the expiration collected by the nasal expiration collecting portion passes; and a gas sensor attaching portion to which a gas sensor that is disposed in the gas passage portion, and that measures the concentration of a predetermined gas component contained in the expiration is attachable. The nasal expiration collecting portion shows a flowing state where a flow of the expiration is allowed, and an obstruction state where the flow of the expiration is blocked.

A patient treatment system includes a ventilation bag, and a monitoring device which is configured so as to be connectable to the ventilation bag. The monitoring device measures the pulse rate derived from the heart rate of a neonate, from signals of ECG electrodes which are connected to the monitoring device. In a case where an abnormality of measurement information of the pulse rate is detected, the monitoring device notifies of first information prompting ventilation by the ventilation bag.

A gas sensor kit includes a gas sensor that measures a gas concentration of an exhalation gas of a subject and a gas supply unit that supplies a therapeutic gas, supplied through a tube, to the subject. In the gas sensor, the gas sensor has a convex portion that is supported when connected with the gas supply unit, and the gas supply unit has at least one locking claw that supports the convex portion when connected with the gas sensor.

A respiration assistance device includes a nasal respiration assisting section for supplying a gas to the nasal cavity of a living body. The nasal respiration assisting section includes: a first gas supplying portion which supplies a gas below one of the nostrils of the living body; a second gas supplying portion which supplies the gas below the other nostril of the living body; a first tube connecting portion to which a tube for supplying the gas to the first gas supplying portion is connectable; and a second tube connecting portion to which a tube for supplying the gas to the second gas supplying portion is connectable.

Respiration assistance device

To provide a mask capable of reducing a load of a patient while suppressing lowering of accuracy at which a subject's exhaled air is measured. A mask to be put on a subject's face includes a mask body portion demarcating an internal space in a state of covering part of the subject's face and a cup-shaped nasal cup covering a subject's nose in a state of being arranged inside the internal space, in which the nasal cup includes a first wall portion covering the subject's nose, a second wall portion arranged under the subject's nostrils, and an exhaled air discharge portion guiding an exhaled air from the subject's nose to an exhaled air sensor, and at least part of the exhaled air from the subject's nose is guided toward the exhaled air discharge portion by the second guide portion in a state where the nasal cup covers the subject's nose.

Mask

An airway adaptor includes: a gas passage into which a respiratory gas of a subject is to flow; a respiratory gas introducing portion which is configured to guide the respiratory gas expired from at least one of nostrils and a mouth of the subject, to the gas passage; and an airway case on which a temperature sensor that is configured to detect a temperature change of the respiratory gas flowing into the gas passage is mountable.

A gas sensor kit includes a gas sensor that measures a gas concentration of an exhalation gas of a subject, a gas introduction part that introduces the exhalation gas of the subject to the gas sensor and a gas supply unit that supplies a therapeutic gas to the subject. In the gas sensor kit, the gas supply unit includes a flow rate adjusting part that adjusts flow rate of the therapeutic gas.

A cable guide is configured to be detachably attached to a detection device having a cable lead-out portion from which a cable extends in a predetermined direction. The cable guide includes a guide portion configured to change a lead-out direction of the cable with respect to the cable lead-out portion, and an attachment portion configured to attach the guide portion to the detection device.

A gas measurement adapter includes a flow tube portion configured to allow gas to pass through the flow tube portion, and a window portion configured to allow measurement light for measuring a component of the gas passing through the flow tube portion to pass through the window portion. The window portion is thinner than the flow tube portion and is molded integrally with the flow tube portion. The window portion comprises an effective portion configured to allow the measurement light to pass through the effective portion and an outer peripheral portion provided on an outer periphery of the effective portion. An inner surface of the window portion is configured such that an outer perimeter of the effective portion is contiguously coplanar with the outer peripheral portion.

A system includes: a first sensor configured to measure one of a ventilatory volume, a concentration of gas, a respiratory rate and a respiratory pressure; a second sensor configured to measure a pressure associated with a mask adapted to be attached to a human patient or a mannequin; a processor configured to analyze a measurement value of the first sensor and a measurement value of the second sensor; and an output unit connected to the processor, and configured to output, based on a result of the analysis of the processor, at least one of: a condition of the mask adapted to be attached to the human patient or the mannequin; and a condition of the human patient or the mannequin.

System and method for teaching, practicing and performing effective rescue breathing

An oxygen mask can include an oxygen supply unit and an attachment unit which is to be attached to a periphery of a nose or a nose and a mouth of a patient. The attachment unit can include an opening which communicates with external air and which is formed at a position to which, when the oxygen mask is attached to the patient, at least one of the nose and the mouth of the patient is opposed.

An oxygen mask can include an oxygen supply unit and an attachment unit which is to be attached to a periphery of a nose or a nose and a mouth of a patient.
