An embodiment searches source for callable units, and scans the contents of the callable units, and generates a set of unit groups that each include one or more of the callable units. The embodiment preprocesses the callable units and then generates hashes of each of the callable units. The embodiment generates a data structure comprising unit identifiers associated with the hashes and their corresponding callable units. The embodiment generates statistical data using a callable-unit metric and updates the data structure by prioritizing the callable units based on the statistical data. The embodiment compares hashes of the callable units and identifies first and second callable units as redundant callable units. The embodiment updates the data structure by identifying the second callable unit as being redundant to the first callable unit. The embodiment generates a report of redundant callable units based on the data structure.

A method, system, and computer program product for attentive listening in multiple contemporaneous meetings. The method identifies a set of keywords designated by a host of a meeting. Remarks in a set of sub-meetings of the meeting are monitored. One or more remarks of interest are identified which match one or more keywords within the remarks of a sub-meeting of the set of sub-meetings. Each sub-meeting has a meeting designation. The one or more remarks of interest are determined to exceed an interest threshold. The method presents the meeting designation and a remark indication to the host in response to determining the one or more remarks of interest exceed the interest threshold.

Attentive listening in multiple online meetings

A method and associated systems that allow a computer system to optimize its performance when running a computer program after a characteristic of a variable of the computer program is changed. A processor of a computer system initially identifies a first generation of candidate components of the computer program that could possibly be affected by changing the characteristic and then confirms these identifications by analyzing one or more characteristics of the variable and of each identified component. The processor repeats this procedure, identifying in each iteration a next generation of program components that would be affected by varying a characteristic of any of the components confirmed in the current generation. This procedure repeats until the processor can confirm no additional previously unconfirmed components. The processor then considers the identified set of affected components in order to optimize its performance running the program after the variable's characteristic is changed.

Optimizing performance of a computer system in response to a software change

A method and associated systems for reducing false-positive errors in a software change-impact analysis of a basepoint variable. A processor of a computer system identifies a first generation of change-affected parts of one or more computer programs, where each identified part is affected by a change to the basepoint variable. The processor confirms the identification of each identified part by analyzing one or more characteristics of the basepoint variable and of the identified part. If the processor confirms that an identification is the product of a false-positive error, the falsely identified part is discarded. The processor then identifies a second generation of confirmed change-affected parts by repeating the procedure performed on the basepoint variable on each confirmed part of the first generation of parts. The processor continues this iterative process through additional generations until it identifies a generation that contains no confirmed change-affected parts.

It is an object of the present invention to find out parts to be a highly possible cause of failure without searching all of part data of all of products. Dispersed parts data on a parts tree are sequentially accessed from a set of known failed products, and part attribute values each having a higher support in the faulty product are extracted. The part attribute values having higher supports and the subset of parts used in the faulty product are represented as a tree in which a parts type serves as a node.
