A wound unit of an electronic components series comprises a cylindrical core and a tape-shaped electronic components series wound in layers on its circumferential surface. On the periphery of the core, there is formed a slit. The electronic components series include a carrier tape made of a cardboard or the like on which not only the feeding holes having a certain pitch are formed but also many through holes responding to the shape of electronic components to be contained therein are distributed in a longitudinal direction. In each of these through holes are contained electronic components and on both of the main surfaces of the carrier tape, cover tapes are adhered to seal off the through holes. The tip of the electronic components series is inserted into the slit of the core and the electronic components series is wound in layers on the circumferential surface of the core. Adhesion layers are formed on the upper surface of the side of the carrier tape provided with the feeding holes of the electronic component series, each layer of the electronic components series being bonded to the next layer by the adhesion agent.

Wound unit of an electronic components series

In an electronic component series of the type wherein a plurality of electronic components are distributed in the longitudinal direction of a tape-like receiving member to be retained by the same, a cover tape is heat-sealed to a receiving tape having receiving concavities for receiving the respective electronic components. Stepped portions or protrusions are forned in the receiving tape to define regions not in contact with the cover tape. This restricts the extent of the sealed regions wherein the cover tape is heat-sealed to the receiving tape, such that the sealed regions are substantially constant in width which results in a substantially constant force being required for removing the cover tape from the receiving tape.

Electronic component series

In a taped electronic component series provided with concavities (4, 5; 15, 16, 17) in a plurality of lines, the concavities of the respective lines are made to deviate from each other by length corresponding to the product of the arrangement pitch (P) of the concavities in each line and the inverse of the number of the lines along the longitudinal direction of the receiving tape (1; 11), so that the electronic components received in the concavities are placed in a withdrawal position one by one by feeding the taped electronic component series at a constant pitch for withdrawing the electronic components (3; 18) from the concavities.

Tape-like electronic component package

An electronic component series wherein a plurality of parallel lead type electronic components (1) each having two parallel lead wires (4) are equispaced along a retainer band (2) and distributed along the length of the retainer band (2) with the lead wires (4) extending in the same direction and are positioned by the retainer band (2), whereby the electronic components (1) are retained. The electronic component series is characterized in that the distance (A) between the pair of lead wires (4) of each electronic component (1) in a region (4a) where the lead wires (4) are placed on the retainer band (2) is made different from that (B) in a region (4c) closer to the electronic component main body (3), while the intermediate portions (4b) of the lead wires (4) are bent to absorb the difference in dimension between the distances (A, B).

An electronic component series (11) for feeding electronic components to an automatic inserting machine comprising a carrier band (12), a plurality of the parallel lead type electronic components (13) arranged on and distributed longitudinally of the carrier band (12), and an adhesive tape (17) bonded to the carrier band (12) with the lead wires of the electronic components held therebetween, the lead wires (15, 16) being cut off adjacent the end edge of the adhesive tape associated with the extremities of the lead wires (15, 16), and the extremities being removed.

A chip-like electronic component series comprises a tape-like member formed with a plurality of apertures arranged in the longitudinal direction for receiving one by one a plurality of chip-like electronic components, cover sheets adhered to both surfaces of the tape-like member for sealing the apertures, and feeding perforations formed equispaced in the longitudinal direction of the tape-like member. The chip-like electronic component series is fed by using the feeding perforations, and the chip-like electronic components are supplied therefrom onto a print circuit board, for example, by stripping the upper cover and by pushing the electronic components one by one onto the print circuit board while the lower cover sheet is broken, by picking up the electronic components therefrom one by one, or the like to place the same onto the print circuit board.
