An SRC includes a stator; a rotator rotatably attached to the stator; and a stack-type cable accommodated in an annular accommodation space defined by the stator and the rotator. The stack-type cable includes a transmission path FC including a pair of transmission path conductors and laminate sheets covering the pair of transmission path conductors and also includes a dummy FC that is provided on a front surface of the transmission path FC and is formed of laminate sheets not including a flat rectangular conductor, the transmission path FC and the dummy FC being stacked on each other; the stack-type cable further includes a grease that causes the transmission path FC and the dummy FC stacked on each other to adhere to each other; and a width-direction interval between the pair of transmission path conductors is set to smaller than, or equivalent to, a conductor width of each transmission path conductor.

A rotation angle detector for detecting rotation angle of a rotator to be measured is provided. The detector includes a magnet which is fixed to the rotator to be measured and is rotated with the rotator to be measured and plural magnetic detection means respectively arranged at a prescribed angle, for detecting intensity of magnetic field generated by the magnet and outputting signals of electric charge based on the intensity of magnetic field. The detector further includes drive means for driving the plural magnetic detection means, where the drive means is capable of simultaneously changing magnetic sensitivities of the plural magnetic detection means in the same ratio. The detector further includes rotation angle calculation means for calculating rotation angle of the rotator to be measured based on signals output from the plural magnetic detection means.

Rotation angle detector

To provide a rotation angle detector, which is characterized in that the rotation angle detector is for detecting a rotation angle of a measurable rotation body, by which it becomes able to measure the rotation angle of the measurable rotation body with an accuracy as higher even in a case where there may be happened such as an axial backlash or the like on an axis of rotation in the measurable rotation body, and then such a rotation angle detectorcomprises: a magnetic detecting element, for detecting a magnetic flux density of a magnetthat is designed to be attached onto the measurable rotation body and then to be rotated as integral with the measurable rotation body, wherein the magnetic detecting elementis arranged at a position as approximately intermediate in a path from a north pole to a south pole according to a line of magnetic force due to the magnet, and then thereby it becomes able to measure the rotation angle of the measurable rotation body with the accuracy as higher even in the case where there may be happened such as the axial backlash or the like on the axis of rotation in the measurable rotation body.

A rotation angle detector for detecting a rotation angle of a detectable rotation body, comprises: a primary rotation body to be attached to the detectable rotation body and to rotate as integral with the detectable rotation body; a secondary rotation body to rotate as a predetermined rotation ratio for the primary rotation body; a primary rotation detection mechanism to output a signal to be varied periodically as corresponding to a rotation of the primary rotation body; a secondary rotation detection mechanism to output a signal to be varied periodically as corresponding to a rotation of the secondary rotation body; a signal processing unit to calculate the rotation angles of the primary and the secondary rotation bodies using the signals that the primary and the secondary rotation detection mechanisms output; and an operation processing unit to calculate the rotation angle of the detectable rotation body.

A rotation angle detection device for detecting the absolute rotation angle of a rotation body rotating multiple times and whose rotation is to be detected. The rotation angles of a first rotation body rotating at a rotation angle frequency in correspondence with rotation of the rotation object whose rotation is to be detected and the rotation angle of a second rotation body rotating at a rotation frequency that is different from the rotation angle frequency of the first rotation body are individually detected. Based on a phase difference between continuous angle signals detected, the rotation speed of a main rotation body, which is either the first or the second rotation body, and the absolute rotation angle of the rotation body rotating multiple times and whose rotation is to be detected is calculated based on the detected continuous angle signal and rotation speed of the main rotation body.

Rotation angle detector and process for detecting rotation angle

A rotation angle detector for detecting the rotation angle of a rotator to be measured which detects the flux density, generated depending on rotation of the rotator to be measured, of a ring-like magnet fixed to the rotator by means of a magnetic detection element. Since a soft magnetic member is interposed between the ring-like magnet and the rotator, rotation angle of the rotator can be measured accurately without being affected by the material or diameter of the rotator or the fixing state of the rotation angle detector to the rotator. Consequently, a rotation angle detector for detecting the rotation angle of a rotator to be measured accurately without being affected by the material or diameter of the rotator or the fixing state of the rotation angle detector to the rotator is presented.

A rotation angle detection device for detecting rotation angle of a rotating body to be measured includes magnetic detection elements which are fixed to a stator and detect magnetic flux density of a magnet which is rotated with the rotating body. The device can calculate rotation angle of the rotating body from outputs of the magnetic detection elements. The device also includes magnetic bodies having two edge portions in positions where the magnet is inserted and arranged along an area where a magnetic line of force of the magnet is formed. Gaps can be provided between one edge portion of the magnetic bodies in the direction of the rotation center axis of the magnet and one side of the magnet in the direction of the rotation center axis, and between another edge portion of the magnetic bodies in the direction of the rotation center axis of the magnet and another side of the magnet in the direction of the rotation center axis, and the magnetic detection elements are intermediated in the magnetic line of force which passes through the magnetic bodies.

A rotation sensor includes a first rotor constituted by a magnetic material and having an outer face that has first conductive layers disposed in two levels as viewed in the direction of a rotation axis and second conductive layers disposed outwardly of and between the first conductive layers, a second rotor having metal members corresponding to the first conductive layers of the first rotor, and a stationary core having a stationary core body that accommodates therein two exciting coils that are spaced from each other in the direction of the rotation axis. The second rotor is disposed between the first rotor mounted to a first shaft and the stationary core fixed to a stationary member, and is mounted to a second shaft which is rotatable relative to the first shaft.

A rotation-sensored rotary connector includes: a rotary connector for electrically connecting an electrical component installed on a steering to a vehicle-body side; and a rotation sensor for detecting a rotational angle of the steering; wherein the rotation sensor includes a rotor to be directly mounted on a steering shaft, and the rotary connector includes a rotor to be rotated in compliance with the rotor of the rotation sensor, thereby allowing to detect the rotational angle of the steering with an excellent precision.

Core

A rotation sensor includes a rotor rotatable together with an automotive steering shaft, a conductive band formed on the rotor, a magnetic coil/core unit fixed near the rotor, the unit having a core body and an exciting coil, and a rotation angle detection circuit electrically connected to the coil. The width of the band gradually increases along a half-circumference of the rotor and then gradually decreases along the remaining half-circumference of the rotor, as viewed in the rotating direction of the rotor. The detection circuit applies an alternating signal to the coil. As the rotor is rotated with the alternating signal applied to the coil, the band causes the impedance of the coil to change in accordance with the rotation angle of the rotor, and based on the impedance change, the detection circuit detects the rotation angle of the rotor, that is, the steering shaft.

Rotation sensor and method for detecting a rotation angle of a rotating member

A rotation sensor comprising: a stator of the rotation sensor; a rotator arranged around the stator in a rotatable manner relative to the stator, so as to detect a rotated-angle variation of a detection target correspondingly to an overlapped state of the rotator with the stator; and a casing for accommodating the rotator therein; wherein at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of the rotator is slidable relative to an inner surface of the casing for accommodating the rotator and stator therein, so that the rotator is constantly smoothly rotated, to thereby accurately detect the rotated-angle variation of the measurement target.
