A module includes a multilayer body that includes insulating-resin base members laminated together, first and second main surfaces, and first and second regions when viewed in plan view. A first conductor pattern and a protective film that covers the first conductor pattern are provided in the first region of the first main surface. Second conductor patterns and holes that extend to the second conductor patterns are provided in the second region of the multilayer body. The holes are provided with conductive joining materials, and connectors are connected to the second conductor patterns by the conductive joining materials.

Resin multilayer substrate, transmission line, module, and method of manufacturing module

An antenna module includes a resin multilayer substrate including a plurality of base materials that are flexible. The resin multilayer substrate includes a rigid portion at which a first number of stacked layers of the base materials is relatively large and a flexible portion at which a second number of stacked layers of the base materials is relatively small. A radiating element including a conductor pattern is provided at the rigid portion. A transmission line including a conductor pattern and electrically connected to the radiating element is provided at the flexible portion. A frame-shaped conductor that surrounds the radiating element when viewed in a direction in which the base materials are stacked is provided at either the rigid portion or the flexible portion, or both the rigid portion and the flexible portion.

Antenna module and electronic device

A first signal line is closer to a second ground conductor than a second signal line and, hence, crosstalk between the first and second signal lines is unlikely to be generated. By providing first opening portions in the second ground conductor, capacitive coupling between the first and second signal lines is reduced. Hence, in a transmission line including the first signal line, an increase in the capacitance due to the increased width of the first signal line is cancelled out by a decrease in the capacitance due to the increased distance from the first ground conductor and the first opening portions. Further, the width of the high-frequency transmission line need not be large. Further, since the capacitance is reduced by the first and second opening portions, the distances between the first ground conductor and the first and second signal lines are shortened.

High-frequency transmission line

A transmission line includes, in a dielectric body, a first ground conductor, and first and second signal conductors arranged in a width direction of the dielectric body. The first ground conductor includes a first signal conductor ground portion disposed closer to a first side of the dielectric body in a thickness direction than the first signal conductor, a second signal conductor ground portion disposed closer to a second side of the dielectric body in the thickness direction than the second signal conductor, and an intermediate portion that connects the first signal conductor ground portion to the second signal conductor ground portion. The intermediate portion is disposed between a first transmission line including the first signal conductor and the first signal conductor ground portion and a second transmission line including the second signal conductor and the second signal conductor ground portion.

Transmission line

A communication terminal in which a card antenna module is loaded into a terminal casing including an antenna is operated such that a degree of coupling between a terminal-casing-side antenna and a module-side antenna is minimized and that a module-side antenna has a desired frequency characteristic. The communication terminal includes a terminal casing including a terminal-casing-side antenna, and a card antenna module loaded into the terminal casing. The card antenna module includes a coupling coil which is disposed at a position close to the terminal-casing-side antenna and which is coupled with the terminal-casing-side antenna via a magnetic field, and a module-side antenna which is disposed at a position more distant from the terminal-casing-side antenna than the coupling coil.

Communication terminal and card antenna module

A main transmission line includes a substantially elongated dielectric body in which first and second substantially elongated signal conductors are disposed with a distance therebetween in a width direction. A first reference ground conductor and a first auxiliary ground conductor sandwich therebetween the first signal conductor in a thickness direction. A second reference ground conductor and a second auxiliary ground conductor sandwich therebetween the second signal conductor in the thickness direction. The second auxiliary ground conductor includes two substantially elongated conductors and a first bridge conductor, and the second auxiliary ground conductor includes two substantially elongated conductors and a second bridge conductor. The positions of the first and second bridge conductors in a lengthwise direction are different.
