An element body of a rectangular parallelepiped shape has a length in a height direction larger than a length in a width direction and has a length in a longitudinal direction larger than the length in the height direction. A terminal electrode is disposed at an end of the element body in the width direction and extends in the longitudinal direction. The element body includes a pair of principle surfaces opposing each other in the height direction, a pair of end surfaces opposing each other in the longitudinal direction, and a pair of side surfaces opposing each other in the width direction. The terminal electrode includes a conductor disposed on the side surface. The conductor includes a protrusion having a length in the longitudinal direction larger than a length in the height direction.

Electronic component

An element body includes first and second end surfaces opposing each other in a first direction, first and second side surfaces opposing each other in a second direction, and first and second principal surfaces opposing each other in a third direction. The length of the element body in the second direction is shorter than that of the element body in the first direction, and the length of the element body in the third direction is shorter than that of the element body in the second direction. A pair of first external electrodes is disposed at both ends of the element body in the first direction. A second external electrode is disposed on the element body and positioned between the pair of first external electrodes. The second external electrode includes a first conductor part disposed on the first side surface. A depression is formed in the first conductor part.

Electronic component having depression on surface

An element body of a rectangular parallelepiped shape has a length in a width direction larger than a length in a height direction and has a length in a longitudinal direction larger than the length in the width direction. A terminal electrode is disposed at an end of the element body in the width direction and extends in the longitudinal direction. The element body includes a pair of principle surfaces opposing each other in the height direction, a pair of end surfaces opposing each other in the longitudinal direction, and a pair of side surfaces opposing each other in the width direction. The terminal electrode includes a conductor disposed on the side surface. The conductor includes a depression having a length in the longitudinal direction larger than a length in the height direction.

A first external electrode is disposed on an end surface. A second external electrode is disposed on a side surface. The first external electrode includes a first sintered electrode layer, a second sintered electrode layer disposed on the first sintered electrode layer, and a plated layer disposed on the second sintered electrode layer. The second external electrode includes a third sintered electrode layer and a plated layer disposed on the third sintered electrode layer. The first, second, and third sintered electrode layers include a void. A void fraction of each of the first and third sintered electrode layers is larger than a void fraction of the second sintered electrode layer.

Feedthrough capacitor

An element body includes first and second end surfaces opposing each other in a first direction, first and second side surfaces opposing each other in a second direction, and first and second principal surfaces opposing each other in a third direction. The length of the element body in the third direction is shorter than that of the element body in the first direction and is shorter than that of the element body in the second direction. A pair of first external electrodes is disposed at both ends of the element body in the first direction. Each of the first external electrodes includes a first conductor part disposed on one main surface and a second conductor part disposed on the end surface and coupled to the first conductor part. The porosity of the first conductor part is smaller than that of the second conductor part.

A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes an element body, a first terminal electrode, a second terminal electrode, and a plurality of internal electrodes. The plurality of internal electrodes include a plurality of first internal electrodes, a plurality of second internal electrodes, a plurality of third internal electrodes, and a plurality of fourth internal electrodes. The element body includes a plurality of first and second regions. The first regions are located between the first internal electrodes opposed with each other. The second regions are located between the first internal electrodes opposed to each other through the third internal electrodes, and between the second internal electrodes opposed to each other through the fourth internal electrodes. The first regions and the second regions are alternately located in the first direction.

Multilayer ceramic capacitor

A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes an element body, a first terminal electrode, a second terminal electrode, a plurality of first internal electrode groups, and a plurality of second internal electrode groups. The plurality of first internal electrode groups each include a first number of first internal electrodes connected to the first terminal electrode and arranged in the first direction inside the element body. The plurality of second internal electrode groups each include a second number of second internal electrodes connected to the second terminal electrode and arranged in the first direction inside the element body. The first internal electrode groups and the second internal electrode groups are arranged alternately in the first direction. One of first internal electrodes included in each of the first internal electrode groups and one of second internal electrodes included in each of the second internal electrode groups are opposed to each other.

A dielectric ceramic composition comprises barium titanate as a main component, and as subcomponents, 1.00 to 2.50 moles of an oxide of Mg, 0.01 to 0.20 mole of an oxide of Mn and/or Cr, 0.03 to 0.15 mole of an oxide of at least one element selected from a group consisting of V, Mo and W, 0.20 to 1.50 mole of an oxide of R1 where R1 is at least one selected from a group consisting of Y and Ho, 0.20 to 1.50 mole of an oxide of R2 where R2 is at least one selected from a group consisting of Eu, Gd and Tb and 0.30 to 1.50 mole of an oxide of Si and/or B, in terms of each oxide with respect to 100 moles of the barium titanate.
