A latch device for detecting pressure reduction of a cockpit in an aircraft and releasing a bolt and a stopper device are provided so as to prevent a cockpit door from unexpectedly opening by an impact. A main latch deviceof the cockpit door has a framefixed to a door panel, and a latch baseis mounted to the framecapable of pivotal rotation with a pinas a fulcrum. A boltis inserted into a catch in conjunction with a door handle. A holding/releasing portionholds the latch base. When a pressure difference occurs between a cockpitand a cabin, a pressure-sensing pistonis pushed in, a triggerand a flapperare rotated and the latch baseis released. A stopper deviceregulates movement of the triggerby movement of an inertial pistonwhen an impact force is applied from the cabinside.

By the difference in pressure between the cabin and the cockpit, the door bodyopens in the direction of arrow Rto thereby reduce pressure difference. When rapid decompression occurs in cabina second latch devicedetects this pressure difference and operates mechanically to rotate a link leverto release a stopperfrom a catchFlapsandare opened toward cabinin the direction of arrow Rby the difference in pressure between the cockpit and cabin to thereby reduce pressure difference.

An in-flight meal server 1 comprises a door supported by a hinge at the opening of a box-shaped main body . A main latch device for locking the door to the main body has a handle , and when the handle is pulled up, a lever rises and pulls out the bolt from a catch in the main body side. The plural bolts may be operated through a link mechanism connected to the lever , but the bolt of an auxiliary latch device may also be locked by operating a knob manually. When the link mechanism fails, the door is locked manually.
