Provided is an organic fiber doubled-and-twisted yarn cord the twist structure of which is uniform and with which it is possible to reduce weight. A doubled-and-twisted yarn cord comprising an organic fiber characterized in that a total fineness is 5000-15000 dtex inclusive, a coefficient of twisted yarn length difference between untwisting yarns constituting the doubled-and-twisted yarn cord that is obtained by an expression: coefficient of twisted yarn length difference (%)=(maximum value of yarn length difference between untwisting yarns)/(average value of yarn length of untwisting yarns)&#xd7;100 is 1.5% or less, and breaking strength is 7.0 cN/dtex or greater.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a base fabric for an airbag and an airbag wherein the strength of sewn parts is high, pressure resistance is superior for an airbag during high-pressure deployment at high speeds, and pressure resistance can be maintained even after passage of time in heat. This base fabric for an airbag is characterized by being formed from woven polyamide fibers, and the retention of sewn part strength in the base fabric with heating before and after heat treatment for 400 hours at 140&#xb0; C. being 70% or greater.

The purpose of the present invention is to improve thermal stability in a lightweight woven fabric that is useful for air bag applications and the like. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a synthetic fiber which is for use in fabrics having uniform fiber density, permeability and the like, is appropriate for high-density, high-speed weaving, and exhibits excellent weft insertion stability. This synthetic fiber is characterized by having: a fiber density of 200-720 dtex; an average intermediate loading modulus of more than 75 cN/dtex and less than 150 cN/dtex; and a variation coefficient of the intermediate modulus of 5% or less.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polyamide fiber from which a fabric appropriate for use in airbags is obtainable, and which exhibits weave-loosening prevention properties after weaving thereof, and excellent mechanical properties. This polyamide fiber is characterized by having; a total fiber density of 100-700 dtex; a tensile strength of 8.0-11.5 cN/dtex; a boiling-water shrinkage of 4.0-11.0%; a slack recovery rate (A) represented by formula (1) after a fixed-length heat treatment of 0-4.0%; and a tightening index (F) represented by formula (2) of 3.8 or higher.
